We would advise you to make your application by the 31 July. We are currently well placed to offer accommodation to many of our students however should your preferred choice not be available, we will provide assistance in finding alternative accommodation in our residences or the private sector. Letting period The accommodation at Rowancroft is let for 42 weeks from 16 September 2012 to 6 July 2013.

£124.88 per week This residence opened in September 2009 and consists of four houses (Francis, Radford, Davies and Garden). There are 187 single en-suite bedrooms in total which are arranged in cluster flats of between five and eight residents with a communal kitchen/dining area.

Rowancroft Court and Mews £97.86 per week These residences have approximately 140 standard study bedrooms arranged in flats of between five and nine. Each flat has a kitchen, lounge/diner, shower or bathroom and separate toilets.

In your room • Your room will include a bed, wardrobe, bookshelf, desk and chair, central lighting, notice board. At Rowancroft Court and Mews there is also a desk lamp. You will need to bring your own bedding (duvet, sheets, pillow etc). • High speed network/internet link.

Rowancroft (En-suite) kitchen

• IPTV. Please note that you will require a TV licence. • En-suite rooms also include a shower, washbasin and toilet facilities in en-suite bedrooms.

Kitchen •

Your kitchen will include a cooker with oven, hob and grill, microwave, fridge/freezer, water boiler/kettle, dining table, chairs and an ironing board. You will need to bring pots and pans, cutlery, crockery and an iron.

Services and facilities • A cleaning service is provided for the communal areas of each flat. • Insurance cover for your personal belongings is included in the charges. Once you have received an offer, check the policy provided to find out if you need to extend the benefits to include cover for valuable items such as laptops, cameras, musical instruments, bikes and mobile phones. • On-site laundry facilities. • Bike storage. • For an additional charge you can order a starter pack, which will be provided when you arrive. It includes useful kitchen and bedding items such as pots, cutlery and sheets so you don’t have to bring them with you. Application and allocation procedure 1. When PCMD informs you that you have a place at Exeter you will be able to apply for accommodation online. You will require a University ID number, which you can obtain by emailing sid@exeter.ac.uk. We advise you to make an application before 31 July. 2. Please complete your application by visiting www.exeter.ac.uk/accommodation from 16 April 2012 to indicate your preferred choices of accommodation. Please note that allocation of accommodation is not on a first-come first-serve basis. 3. We are well placed to make an offer of accommodation to many of our students. 4. If Exeter is your insurance or clearing choice you will be able to apply for accommodation once your University offer is confirmed. 5. Applications from unconditional firm status students are processed from June onwards and your accommodation offer and contract will be sent to you by email between June and September.

6. Read the contract and other information carefully, as once you accept the offer it creates a legally binding contract. You will need to accept the offer and pay an accommodation deposit of ÂŁ300 to secure the accommodation. 7. If you do not accept your offer of accommodation by the reply date you will be informed that your room has been re-allocated. 8. At the start of Welcome Week pick up your key from the office/residence as advised in your document. 9. Unless you have agreed a late arrival date with us in advance, we will re-allocate your room from 12 noon on the first Wednesday after the start of term. If you agree a late arrival date with us and do not arrive on that date, we also reserve the right to re-allocate your room. If you arrive late you will be liable for the accommodation charges from the start of the contract.
