WHAT WILL I STUDY? / Foundation Mathematics A and B Develop your mathematical and modelling skills, using a range of techniques, from algebra to logarithms to problem solving in velocity and acceleration. / Foundation Physics A and B Improve your grounding in basic physics and the development of numerical problem solving as you explore the subjects of mechanics, nuclear physics and magnetic, electric and gravitational fields. / Foundation Physics Laboratory Further your laboratory skills, critical analysis of data, and scientific reporting abilities. / Foundation IT and Study Skills Improve your use of IT, research, team working, presentation and scientific reporting skills. Designed to provide all students with comprehensive support, MathScope will help you to find solutions to any mathematical or statistical problem you may experience during your studies. / Societies At the University of Salford, we have a range of studentrun societies which cover all aspects of student life, from academia to sports, politics to the environment, performance to faith. We also have a Physics society where likeminded students have a place to socialise, relax and enhance their skills. Members have also arranged trips across Europe, including Geneva to visit CERN, Brussels for the Atomium and planetarium, and Berlin to see The Archenhold Observatory!
