The School of Science, Engineering and Environment (SEE) puts students at the heart of everything we do, with over 200 dedicated academic, technical and administrative members of staff, we offer a robust support system for our student community. Our expanding suite of multidisciplinary programmes foster a dynamic and collaborative environment for our staff and students.

OUR FACILITIES

We invest in our facilities to reflect the equipment used in industry, giving you the chance to develop the necessary skills for your career. Our audio and visual facilities at MediaCityUK and our world-class anechoic chamber provides professional specification equipment. Aeronautical and mechanical engineering students can learn in our specialist labs, including a flight simulator and wind turbines. Our Bodmer Laboratory gives you access to the newest technologies, helping you to keep up with the latest innovation and discovery. ACCREDITED COURSES

We strive to ensure your learning is relevant and applicable to your future career. Many of our courses are shaped and accredited by organisations such as the Royal Society of Biology, Royal Institute of Civil Engineers and the Chartered Institute of Building.

LINKS WITH INDUSTRY

Our undergraduate students can take advantage of our links with industry and many have the opportunity to take part in an industrial placement, giving you real-life experience as part of your degree. RESEARCH

With our partners in Europe, India and China, our research projects have a strong impact on the world around us, from major public health programmes in Tibet to climate change and glacier decline in the Himalayas. We have strong research and academic partnerships with industry, working with organisations such as the BBC, BT, CISCO and Airbus. We have been leading the research agenda in the built environment for more than 20 years. We are world-renowned in areas such as sustainability, energy and construction management.
