OUR WORK AND EXPERTISE
We can provide measurement data to quantify how your products affect the sound of the built environment they are used in – an invaluable tool in product marketing.
We can also develop bespoke or innovative measurement techniques or link you with specialist acoustic research programmes where your need is not covered by a standard test method. This supports product development and provides credibility in the marketplace.
Our clients range from global engineering companies to SMEs and government departments, and funding may be available to support innovation.
Whatever your industry, at Salford we can make your projects sounds better.

WHY IS BUILDING ACOUSTICS IMPORTANT?
Building acoustics has a signi cant impact on health, wellbeing, communication and productivity and is critical in our everyday lives in hospitals, classrooms and in homes. The acoustics of buildings is governed by regulations covering new buildings in the UK and internationally, with increasing interest in not just on how loud an environment is, but on how that sound is perceived by people in it.
I don’t think we are your typical customer, and we presented the University with some challenging situations, but your willingness to assist and understand the nature of our activities to help nd solutions have been of signi cant bene t to us.
