Travelling to campus

TRAVELLING TO SALFORD

IF YOUR ACCOMMODATION IS FURTHER AWAY FROM OUR UNIVERSITY, you can easily reach us via public transport as Salford Crescent Train Station is on our main campus.

It’s so easy to commute with Salford being so close to

the city centre, just a ten minute journey from Manchester Piccadilly station and then a two minute walk to my lectures.

WE ARE JUST OVER A MILE AWAY FROM MANCHESTER CITY CENTRE, that’s just a 20 minute walk or five-minutes if you hop on one of the buses which run every few minutes. If you’re travelling by train, Salford Crescent is perfectly placed with four trains to Manchester Piccadilly every hour.

If you are travelling to our MediaCity campus, you can show your student ID card on the bus to ride for free. Alternatively, if you’re commuting in by tram, there’s a Metrolink stop right outside our MediaCity campus. On our campuses we have over 400 spaces for bicycles and there are a number of car parks for those travelling by car.

COMMON ROOMS

On campus we have loads of chill-out spaces and comfortable seating zones for our commuting students.

Our common rooms have everything you need to pass the time between lectures with solo and group study spaces, a lounge area with TV, kitchenette with microwaves and fridges, gender-neutral accessible toilets, charging points, lockers and even a pool table. Kitchen area
