THE VALUE OF GLOBALIZATION and a borderless world seems to have been questioned this past year with the Brexit vote, trade agreements being reconsidered and multiculturalism often doubted. However, in terms of action and activities, both around the world and here at the Ahlers Center for International Business, it is business as usual. This last year we designed and delivered custom programs for constituents from Brazil, India, Germany, Mexico, and Argentina. Students from all of our eight graduate business programs had opportunities to study abroad in 16 cities across 12 countries. School of Business faculty continued to engage in international research, in part supported by the Ahlers Center, and connected with business executives, alumni and university partners on our faculty development program to Athens and Milan. Throughout the year, the Ahlers Center hosted several visiting faculty, scholars and international business leaders who enriched our campus by bringing global perspectives and expertise. Of course, none of this would be possible without collaborations both locally and internationally. This includes the creative and dedicated team within the Ahlers Center, the School of Business faculty and administration, University-wide support, alumni, international partners and our students who inspire us to create more opportunities to support their desire to make the world a better and more globally connected place.
