A survivor of the 2017 mass shooting in Las Vegas, Friedman focused his scholarship on establishing a new law that enhances gun violence protection.

“My experience at the Consumer Protection Policy Center was the best thing I did in law school, and it helped strengthen my opportunities in my legal career. I was able to work on actual bills that got passed in other states, and I was able to write my own bill and get it passed within one legislative session. Now when I discuss with more senior attorneys what I’ve done, they’re impressed that I worked on legislation in law school.”
