Music at USD is home to a talented, energetic and committed community of faculty and student musicians. Students approach foundational coursework (music history, theory, composition and performance studies) in relation to a politics, art, literature, religion, and cultural studies. Our holistic curriculum prepares students for careers as professional musicians.

Theatre at USD is home to actors, directors, playwrights and designers of the future. Our major, minor and MFA programs embrace theatre as a means to inspire humanity and engage a diverse society. We are committed to exploring the rich tradition of theatrical storytelling as an agent of social justice and to playmaking that matters and training undergraduates and graduates to create within an ensemble through collaborative artistic exploration.
