Submit Your Final Transcripts

Start Classes Fall classes begin Monday, August 29, 2022.

Create a Campus Information Services (CIS) account

Admitted students must submit final high school and/or college transcripts as soon as they are available, if they were not submitted at the time of application. Please check your status on Application Tracker and submit all documents marked "initiated" on the list.

Pay the $1000 Enrollment Deposit To save your spot at the U, pay the non-refundable $1000 enrollment deposit. Check out the Enrollment Deposit Instruction for more information. Log on to Your University email account (UMail) Using the university ID (uNID) and default password, which is your birthday in MMDDYY format, log on to your UMail account at cis.utah.edu. You can create an alias or forward your email, but please note—all official university communication will be sent to your UMail account. What is uNID? uNID is your University Network ID (u0000000) which can be found in you official admission letter. Please make sure to be familiar with your uNID and keep it confidential as you will use this number to access private information, university records, and university services.

Using your new university ID, log on to cis.utah.edu. Here is where you will register for classes, access library resources, view grades, check your academic records, find your tuition invoice and more. Submit a Housing Application If you plan on living on-campus, you will need to apply for the On-Campus Housing. More information will be shared with you shortly but in the meantime, if you have any questions about the housing, please contact Lauren Poindexter, our Residence Life Coordinator, at lauren.poindexter@utah.edu To learn more about living on campus, visit asiacampus.utah.edu/students/residentlife.php.

Transfer and Special Credit: College transcripts are automatically reviewed for transfer credit. Transfer credit is awarded for courses that are similar to courses that are offered at the University of Utah. If you have taken Advanced Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate (IB) tests and have sent the scores electronically to the Office of Admissions, the credit will be added to your record. Attend New Student Orientation New Student Orientation will be held from Monday, August 22 to Thursday, August 25 and the attendance is mandatory. For questions regarding orientation please email uacorientation@utah.edu or visit asiacampus.utah.edu/admissions/orientation.php.

Pay Tuition and Fees Fall semester tuition is due Friday, September 16, 2022. Tuition invoice can be accessed using your CIS account. More information regarding tuition and fee payment will be provided at a later date.

Your First-Year Experience As a student starting your first term at the University of Utah Asia Campus, you will complete your general education requirements while also exploring your major courses with a set schedule

Immigration documentation for the year on main campus follows main campus tuition costs. UAC tuition schedule is based on full-time enrollment (12 – 17 credit hours in both Fall and Spring semesters). Housing Facts & Figures Undergraduates at the University of Utah Asia Campus are recommended to live on campus for the entirety of their program. Exceptions may be made for special circumstances. Students are housed in fully furnished residence hall buildings that have lounges, a laundromat, exercise facilities, and a cafeteria. The University of Utah provides a safe, comfortable, and healthy living environment that is shared with students from other universities on the Incheon Global Campus.

A large cafeteria is located at B1 of the Student Dormitory, which is conveniently placed in the center of campus. It offers an innovative and affordably priced menu. It is open to the public and serves a broad selection of foods that appeal to every taste in a fun environment. Students will need to purchase a meal coupon from the vending machine in the cafeteria. Meals cost 4,500 - 5,000 KRW.

The Student Hall is shared by all host universities and it houses a wide array of convenient facilities such as student club offices, seminar rooms, and student council rooms that students can use for multiple purposes. Sport centers, language centers, and the Multi-purpose Culture Center are available.

Additionally, students will have the opportunity to create their own clubs, groups, and programs based on interest and participation.

Obtaining a Student Visa FOR NON-KOREAN CITIZENS: A student visa (D-2) is a prerequisite before departure for South Korea and may be obtained from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea located in your country. The following are the documents required for submission to the Korean Consulate near you:

Transitioning to Salt Lake City Immigration If you are not a U.S. citizen, studying at the Salt Lake City campus will require a student visa. It is important to plan ahead to ensure that your transition to the United States goes as smoothly as possible. Our expert university staff will be there to assist you with the process. To initiate your immigration process, the University of Utah will issue you an I-20, which is a form certifying that you are eligible to be a student at our U.S. campus. In order to issue your I-20, we will require some information from you: • A financial statement showing a minimum of $47,446 available in liquid assets • A signed statement from any sponsor (parents, family members, or others) declaring that person’s intent to provide financial support for you • A copy of the first page of your current passport or national ID card After your I-20 is issued, you will apply for your visa through the U.S. Embassy, have an interview with a consular officer, and be able to enter the United States up to 30 days before you start studying in Salt Lake City.
