DINING ON CAMPUS

LOTS OF WAYS TO DINE!

• PHC and Kahlert Village Dining Halls: tap your UCard for an all you care to eat experience!

• To-Go Meals: Take food on the go from the dining halls by requesting a to-go meal

• Flex Dollars: Work like a debit card on your UCard and can be used at dining locations across campus

• Transfer Meals: Transfer your weekly meal swipes to be used at other eateries on campus. Transfer meals can be used for up to $6.35 at breakfast and up to $8.55 for lunch/dinner. Eligible locations include: The Hive, Miller Cafe, Honors Market, Student Life Center, and Crimson View

MEAL PLAN FAQs

• Most first-year students are required to have a meal plan.

• Meal plans are optional for students living in apartments.

• Meal plan weeks start on Friday and end on Thursday

• Meal plans work on either a weekly or semesterly basis

• Meal plans can be changed once a semester during the first two weeks of the semester. Students fill out an online form to request a meal plan change. Access the form in Housing U in CIS.

• Failure to use a meal plan does not cancel a student’s financial responsibility for the meal plan

• For the most updated list of dining hours, visit dineoncampus.com/utah

• If you have any dietary needs or restrictions, please visit housing.utah.edu/dining/forms to fill out the meal plan accommodation request form

TIP: UCARD

You’re a tap away from lots of great stuff! Use your UCard credential on your phone to get into the dining halls, use your flex dollars, or use a transfer meal. Plus your UCard is what allows you to use SLC public transit for free.

MAIL & PACKAGES

Mail

All students who live on campus will be issued a mailing address. Once you receive your room assignment, you will be able to locate your mailing address online at housing.utah.edu/living-the-u/ desk-mail-services/. Students are able to begin receiving packages for the fall semester on August 8, 2023.

Packages

We utilize a package-locker system. Information on this system will be shared with you via email when you receive your mailing address. Students can mail packages to campus beginning August 8, 2023. Most residence hall mailrooms are closed for the summer so packages may be returned if ordered too far in advance. Packages that are delivered to our mailroom will be returned to sender if sent too early. We encourage you to wait on any furniture or large items until after you arrive on campus and settle into your space.

TIP: PACKAGES

We cannot share addresses with friends, parents, or family members. Please share your address as needed so that care packages or other fun items find their way to you.
