We offer a range of specialised courses, many of which are professionally accredited and developed with industry partners. We focus on developing our postgraduate students’ leadership skills and knowledge to enhance their career prospects and give them the confidence they need to achieve their goals, whatever they may be. Our flexible programmes are designed around the way you work and include full-time and part-time courses, conversion courses, 100% online courses, and accredited CPD courses. If funding is a concern, there are postgraduate loans of up to £11,836 for students studying a Masters degree (22/23 figure for eligible students).

Architecture and construction
Business, professional and financial services Our Business School has offered employer-relevant academic programmes and tailored business services for over 80 years. We have a successful Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development centre, are an approved centre for ILM, and hold membership of the Chartered Association of Business Schools. We offer a range of accredited courses, highly desirable and instantly applicable in industry. Law students benefit from our unique partnership with DWF LLP to receive careers advice and mentoring.
Our fabulous £120 million Springfield Campus is dedicated to construction and the built environment, combining accredited courses with industry-leading equipment and technology, and produces graduates who are ready to enter the workforce as soon as they leave. Facilities include virtual reality equipment, data capture technology, design studio, building information modelling programs, and a range of specialist practical labs. Our National Brownfield Institute onsite helps develop modern methods of building through innovation and partnership with the construction industry.

Digital and cyber Researchers from our Wolverhampton Cyber Research Institute are collaborating with industrial and governmental organisations on all aspects of security and privacy, helping to tackle threats in the cyberspace. We also continue to invest in worldleading facilities such as the £9 million cyber centre in Hereford.

Health and social care
Education
We have specialist teaching facilities for health and social care in Wolverhampton, Walsall, Burton-upon-Trent and Telford for the next generation of key workers.
We work in partnership with over 450 schools, colleges and private providers to provide placement opportunities, bespoke CPD and accredited courses.
Our new Marches Centre of Excellence for Health and Social Care at Telford Campus provides state-of-the-art training facilities including advanced anatomy visualisation tables and an immersive reality interactive simulation suite.
Our Education Observatory aims to undertake research in all areas of education, encouraging collaborations among researchers, practitioners, policy-makers, and stakeholders.
We have invested £3 million in the refurbishment of our Pharmacy facilities. This includes extended practice suites, a multi-purpose flexible teaching space, and a new dispensary.
Sports Our courses benefit from partnerships with both local and national teams and organisations, and many are accredited by the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity. You’ll have the opportunity to gain work placements – and perhaps jobs – at all professional levels. Our Walsall Campus houses British British Judo’s HQ. We’re also proud to team up with Hudl (a leading sports technology company), Telford Tigers, and more.

Creative industries Wolverhampton School of Art has been the heart of the city’s creative community since 1851. Our new multi-million-pound Screen School opened in 2021, nurturing talent for the careers of tomorrow. Professional practice and live briefs from companies in the creative sector are embedded into our courses. Wolverhampton School of Art together with Wolverhampton Art Gallery have been chosen to host British Art Show 9 (BAS9) in January 2022.

Fees and finance Most UK students studying a Master’s course in the UK can apply for a loan to help towards fees and living costs from the Government. This loan is paid directly to the student who is responsible for paying the fees to the University. More information on paying the fees in instalments can be found at:
Alumni discount If you are a University of Wolverhampton graduate, you could get a 20% discount on a postgraduate course taught on-site, or 10% off fully-online courses. There’s no time limit on how long ago you completed your degree, as long as it’s your first Master’s level qualification. wlv.ac.uk/alumni-discount

Full-time course fees The fees shown are for a 180-credit course – equivalent to a full-time Master’s degree. Courses that fall below this credit amount, such as full-time postgraduate certificates and diplomas are charged on a pro-rata basis.
Master’s loans of £11,836 are available for UK ‘home’ students. You must be studying a full Master’s award of at least 180 credits. The loan is paid directly to you and is intended to cover fees and contribute towards living costs. wlv.ac.uk/courses

Scholarships and bursaries OfS-funded scholarships for MSc in AI or Data Science A limited number of Office for Students (OfS) funded scholarships of £10,000 are available to students enrolled on MSc conversion courses in AI or Data Science. Search for “Data Science” or “AI” at: wlv.ac.uk/courses
Dennis Turner Hardship Fund A non-repayable fund for any student, home or international, who is struggling to make ends meet. The fund doesn’t affect the visa status of international students.

Advice and guidance
Our entry requirements help us to gauge whether you have the knowledge or experience to provide a good base to study at postgraduate level. We believe in providing opportunities to people with the passion to succeed, and our entry requirements are not always based on academic attainment alone.
If your entry award was not delivered in English; you do not have a degree from an English-speaking University; or you are a non-native speaker of English, you will be required to demonstrate proficiency in to a minimum of IELTS 7.0 or equivalent.
Our Gateway team provide advice and guidance on all aspects of coming to university, including choosing the right course; checking qualifications, entry requirements and your application form; and student funding and disability or support options.
You will usually require an undergraduate degree. Relevant work experience in your subject area can help you get a place for some courses. Visit the course page for up-to-date entry requirements.
