OPEN DAY SATURDAY 13 OCTOBER 2018 9.30AM – 3.00PM
I’d really recommend the University of Wolverhampton. For a local University for me it made sense to stay at home and the support and guidance I got while I was there was fantastic. Amy Rebic, BA (Hons) Human Resources Management graduate
My experience at the University of Wolverhampton was honestly life changing. You’ll learn so much and gain so many new skills if you put in the time and the rewards are worth it. Sam Chambers, BA (Hons) Graphic Design graduate
As an international student it was very hard to leave my country, family and friends for the first time. In the end, this was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Temujin Erdene-Ochir, LLB (Hons) graduate

A WARM WELCOME TO THE OPEN DAY I am delighted to welcome you to the University of Wolverhampton’s undergraduate Open Day. Today offers the perfect opportunity for you to find out more about our courses, how we can help you pursue your career options and what student life is like at our campuses in Wolverhampton, Walsall and Telford. As the ‘University of Opportunity’, we strive to give all of our students the best possible student experience. Our biggest ever investment programme is now well underway and aims to generate over £250 million by 2020 to enhance our campuses, laboratories, classrooms, subjects, social spaces and more – all for the benefit of people like you, who are looking to explore their talent and realise their career ambitions in a state-of-the-art learning environment. Today you can view our excellent facilities, go on tours of our campuses and see where you could be living in student accommodation. Our comprehensive programme of activities, from subject talks to hands-on workshops, gives you a taster of our courses and the chance to ask as many questions as you like.
You can also visit our Campus Life area, where you can chat to students and staff about life on campus, student support and career opportunities. It is a testimony to our students and staff that 96% of our graduates are in employment within six months of graduating.* That could be you in three years’ time. This programme details everything you can experience today, but if you have any questions then don’t hesitate to ask our Open Day team and student helpers – we understand going to university is a huge decision, so we want to make sure you leave us today with the information you need to know. Stay in touch and we can answer any questions that you think of afterwards, too. Enjoy your day at the University of Wolverhampton and thank you for visiting us. We hope to see you again soon!

G&G ON OUR STUDENTS’ WORK: We’re amazed! They’re very, very proficient – artists ready for gallery showing.
G&G ON THE SCHOOL OF ART: It’s a great school and unbelievable space. We love the architecture. I think the students are all spoiled brats compared with us and our scruffy studios when we were baby artists!
G&G’S ADVICE FOR STUDENTS: When you get out of bed, sit on the edge of the bed, keep your eyes closed and don’t stand up, don’t open your eyes, until you’ve decided ‘what do I want to say to the world today?’
ICONS OF ART VISIT WOLVERHAMPTON The University recently hosted a visit by Turner Prize-winning artists Gilbert & George as part of the 250th anniversary of the Royal Academy of Arts.
The iconic duo, who create art together as one artist, have won international acclaim and awards as part of a creative partnership spanning 50-plus years.
During their visit to the University in September 2018, Gilbert & George toured the Wolverhampton School of Art (est. 1851) and attended our Master’s students’ Fine Art Exhibition at The New Art Gallery in Walsall. We’re delighted that they had some very positive things to say about our facilities and students’ work.
