G&G ON THE SCHOOL OF ART: It’s a great school and unbelievable space. We love the architecture. I think the students are all spoiled brats compared with us and our scruffy studios when we were baby artists!

ICONS OF ART VISIT WOLVERHAMPTON The University recently hosted a visit by Turner Prize-winning artists Gilbert & George as part of the 250th anniversary of the Royal Academy of Arts.
The iconic duo, who create art together as one artist, have won international acclaim and awards as part of a creative partnership spanning 50-plus years.
During their visit to the University in September 2018, Gilbert & George toured the Wolverhampton School of Art (est. 1851) and attended our Master’s students’ Fine Art Exhibition at The New Art Gallery in Walsall. We’re delighted that they had some very positive things to say about our facilities and students’ work.
