Welcome to the WLV Alumni Association Happy New Year from your Alumni and Development team! A warm welcome to the winter WLV Alumni Association e-zine, as we look forward to the year ahead and an exciting calendar of alumni events in 2018. We closed 2017 with a staff alumni party, welcoming graduates who found employment here at the University to enjoy a choir performance, festive science by Dr Martin Khechara, mulled wine and tasty treats. Of course, we give all our alumni fantastic opportunities to return to the University – becoming a graduate doesn’t mean losing contact with your friends or your alma mater, it’s the beginning of a relationship that lasts a lifetime. Our special Homecoming event in June is a special celebration, where alumni can come together at City Campus this summer for a chance to catch up, reminisce, network, and enjoy food, drink and some great entertainment! We hope to see you there – more details can be found on page 5.
As part of the WLV Alumni Association, a global network of over 100,000 alumni in more than 130 countries around the world, you remain a valued member of the University and we hope to remain a lifelong source of support to help you achieve your personal and professional aspirations, whatever they may be. We hope you enjoy this issue, and encourage as many of you to get involved by taking a look at our upcoming events and signing up to our alumni mentoring service. We look forward to hearing from you soon. Alumni and Development Team
