Graduate internships Inject some fresh thinking into your organisation

Taking on interns can be a great way to bring new ideas and energy to your organisation, whilst providing valuable work experience for graduates looking to start their career. The University of Wolverhampton has launched a Voluntary Internship Scheme to enable graduates to gain valuable work experience and enhance their CV. Our Voluntary Internship service is available to charity/third sector organisations (with up to 250 employees) or private companies with fewer than 50 employees in the West Midlands region only. Our Voluntary Internships can last up to 10 weeks. Graduates can work a maximum of 30 hours per week and should be reimbursed travel expenses for the duration of the internship by the organisation.

Praise of the scheme “

The internship scheme has helped raise awareness of F2 and the work we do. The internship has been very successful. This is a new and growing social enterprise and we have been able use the intern to help in the start-up of the company. His input has been invaluable. Jenny French, French Squared Social Enterprise CIC

At The Haven we have had particular projects to complete but have gaps with being able to research and report the information. Having an internship to develop and deliver certain short-term projects has proved a great help for us and an excellent opportunity for the intern. Tina Larkham, The Haven Wolverhampton

The two interns from the University of Wolverhampton have worked really well and fitted in with the work that we do here at The Haven to become part of our staff team. Tracy Groom, The Haven Wolverhampton

The internship has been a great success. The University guided us through the process, and went above and beyond to find an appropriate candidate. We are extremely satisfied with the outcome, and as a result, hope to launch our new website. Our intern amazed us with his never-ending talents! We recommend this scheme to any company or graduate: with much to gain for both parties. Kathryn Burns, Brockmoor Foundry Co. Ltd.
