Welcome

Welcome to the University of Wolverhampton Open Day. We hope that you enjoy your visit and get a taste of the exciting future that could be waiting for you at Wolverhampton. This programme is your guide for the day and is packed full of exciting talks, tours and workshops you can attend. Take some time to have a read through and use the space for notes at the back to jot down what interests you and what you’ve learnt. In the Subject Fair you’ll find academics who will provide you with the extra details you need on the subject you’re interested in, and visit the Student Support Zone for information on the services on offer whilst studying. Current students will be dotted around both campuses, who will be more than happy to show you where to go and answer any questions about what life is like at Wolverhampton.

Wolverhampton City Campus and Walsall Campus are both open for you to explore. Ask what you want to know, try out what’s on offer, and imagine yourself as part of a University that provides you with everything you need for a bright future.

Investing in your campus

Investing in your campus Current building work on our Wolverhampton City Campus is part of an exciting £45 million development programme. The building work you can see from the courtyard area is to the MB building which fronts onto Stafford Street. The new development will house our new science facility – covering more than six thousand square metres, it will include state-of-the-art laboratories, teaching and meeting rooms. The phased opening will begin in the 2014 academic year! MB building – new science facility

We are also planning a modern, purpose-built environment for the University of Wolverhampton Business School. The new building will be part of the development of the Molineux quarter, located near the football stadium. Both developments are part of the University’s master plan for the area to improve facilities and the student and staff experience. They add to other work carried out in recent years across our campuses, including new Students’ Unions at City and Walsall; the development of The George building (formerly the Varsity pub) as a focal point for advice and information about the University; and modernisation of the Harrison Learning Centre.
