SPRINGFIELD CAMPUS

SPRINGFIELD CAMPUS: OUR VISION Springfield Campus is at the heart of our ambitious investment to enhance the student experience. The Our Vision, Your Opportunity programme aims to lead excellence in learning and teaching, deliver world class research and provide a springboard for enterprise and entrepreneurship regionally, nationally and internationally – and the new Springfield Campus is central to this vision. The University is excited to be developing the iconic former Springfield Brewery site into a centre of excellence for construction and the built environment, delivering an unbeatable skills pathway for construction education and training from the age of 14 to senior professionals. The £65million jointly-funded development project aims to turn the 12 acre, Grade II listed heritage site into an architecture and built environment super-campus.

As well as driving innovation in education and learning, Springfield Campus will support business growth locally and internationally. The landmark brownfield site in Wolverhampton is of historic importance to the area. Vacant since 1991 when the brewery closed, the Springfield site is being redeveloped with its entrance gates preserved, ready once again to flourish and serve a key purpose in helping to regenerate the region. Springfield Campus is a flagship project of our ongoing Our Vision, Your Opportunity investment programme, which aims to generate an unprecedented £250million of investment in education, learning and regeneration in the Black Country.
