It’s difficult to think about Spring when the Wisconsin weather is so cold. But, that season of new growth will soon be upon us. I’d encourage you to think about the personal and professional growth you may wish to pursue. Perhaps the Continuing Education Department in the Center for Community Partnerships at UW-Parkside can help. We offer several spring conferences, for new and seasoned professionals alike, on various topics such as Youth Development and Mentoring in March, Hoarding in April, and Aging Well and Autism in June. If you find yourself in the midst of a spring job search and need to polish your job search and interviewing skills, you may wish to check out the career development offerings on pages 6 and 7. Maybe you’re looking for a more substantial education experience and wish to pursue a certificate of study. See page 32 for nearly 40 certificate options – both credit and noncredit – in subjects like photography, holistic and integrative health, and social media management. At UW-Parkside, you are offered convenient short-term continuing professional education opportunities online and in person to fit your scheduling needs. Please browse our offerings and register today. If you have specific ideas of other programs you’d like to see, call 262-595-3340 and let us know. Warmly,

ENRICHING MINDS, CHANGING LIVES Forty-five years ago, founding chancellor Irvin Wyllie set a strong and relevant course: “The University of Wisconsin-Parkside has been and will continue to be a learning community that enriches minds, changes lives, and brightens futures.”

You can make a difference. The goal of the “Enriching Minds, Changing Lives” campaign is to double the amount of scholarship funds available by 2016 and close that gap.
