In this one night hands-on class, experiment with macro and light painting techniques. Macro photography is simply photography very close up allowing us life size or in some cases even larger images of our subjects. Light painting is an exciting technique that allows you to photograph almost any stationary subject in a new way. Students need a basic understanding of their cameras, light and exposure. A tripod for your camera is required. Instructor: Mike Bisom Fee: $59 Supplies: Tripod Limit: 10
Explore common ways to edit your digital images. How and why should I re-size an image? What is DPI? Cropping, black and white conversion, layers, masks, and color correction. Use Photoshop in this handson learning environment. Don’t worry if you don’t have Photoshop, everything covered applies to other programs as well, such as Photoshop Elements and GIMP.

Using Your Camera Flash Principles of Lighting and Exposure
Advanced Digital Camera
2 Wednesdays, begins Nov 6, 7-9 pm
6 Mondays, begins Oct 21, 7-9 pm
George Eastman once said, “Light makes photography.” Simply put, light is the brush by which a photograph creates an image. Light is the element needed to record an exposure. The camera can’t do anything about the quality or direction of light, so what makes one light better than another? Learn to understand the principle element in any image: light. The better you understand and use light to create exposure, the better your images will be.
Instructor: Mike Bisom Fee: $99 Limit: 15

Bring your cameras! This is a hands on class geared towards digital SLR’s, but the principles learned can apply to any camera with manual controls.
