Federal Education Benefits benefits.va.gov/benefits/

Post 9/11 GI Bill – Chapter 33

If you have at least 90 days of aggregate service after September 10, 2001, or were discharged with a service connected disability, you may be eligible for this benefit.

Active Duty Montgomery GI Bill – Chapter 30

Under Montgomery GI Bill - Active Duty eligible service members may receive up to 36 months of education benefits.

Selected and Reserve Educational Assistance (MGIB – SR) – Chapter 1606/ Chapter 1607 The MGIB-SR provides education benefits to eligible members of the reserves and guard.

Tuition Assistance (TA)

The TA program provides assistance for classroom or distance learning courses that support a Soldier’s professional goals and are part of an approved academic program education program.

Vocational Rehabilitation – Chapter 31

VA’s comprehensive program providing training, special rehabilitation services and employment assistance for Veterans with service connected disabilities and Service members leaving active duty because of medical issues.

State Educational Benefits WI GI Bill

The Wisconsin GI Bill remits full tuition and segregated fees for eligible veterans and their dependents for up to eight full-time semesters or 128 credits, whichever is greater, at any UW System or Wisconsin Technical College School.

National Guard Tuition Reimbursement

The National Guard Tuition Reimbursement Grant can be used by eligible members of the Army & Air Guard

Veterans Education (Vet Ed)

The VetEd Tuition Reimbursement Grant can be used by eligible veterans of the Armed Forces.

Military and Veterans Resource Center (MVRC)

New Fall 2016 | The Parkside Military and Veteran Success Center (MVSC) assists military service members and veteran students with the transition into our academic community by providing access to resources and by serving as a centralized gathering space for students Along with basic information on educational benefits, student life and community resources, the MVSC offers: • A quiet place to study with Wi-Fi • A comfortable place to connect with other veterans • Computers for student use with CAC capabilities • A meeting place for student military club

Veterans Support Team

The transition to a new environment such as a university can be difficult. The Veterans Support team is a group of staff from various departments across campus committed to supporting military servicemen and veterans in the pursuit of their educational goals.
