The faculty of engineering is a highly qualified and acknowledged technical faculty with 50 years of educational and R&D experience. We offer an appealing choice of BSc and MSc programmes to our potential students thanks to our highly qualified academic staff, our modernly equipped training rooms and laboratories. Our programmes provide a perfect balance of theoretical and practical training, this latter based on our extensive relations with our industrial partners. The wide range of our programmes – both in Hungarian and English language - include: Food Engineer (BSc), Mechanical Engineer in Agriculture and Food Industry (BSc), Mechanical Engineering (BSc, MSc), Mechatronical Engineer (BSc, MSc), Engineering manager (BSc, MSc); Food Science and Technology Engineering (MSc), Food Safety and Quality Engineering (MSc).

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must submit an online application form here: https://apply.u-szeged.hu, pay the requested fees and upload the necessary documents.

For MSc programmes: Submitted online application form; Bachelor of Science certificate (BSc in Food Engineering, Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, Agriculture, Agronomy, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, Analytical, Organic Chemistry or Physic), a demonstrated proficiency in English (B2 level or equivalent) and a Skype interview (oral entrance examination).

SERVICES OF THE FACULTY

ESN Mentors, as members of a non-governmental, volunteer-based student organisation in Europe, are volunteers who help foreign students settling down and starting their academic life in Szeged. In cooperation with the University, they help newly arrived students starting their academic and social life at SZTE and Szeged.

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS OF THE

FACULTY

The Faculty of Engineering has more than 50 Erasmus+ partner universities in many countries of Europe. Our students have the opportunity to study abroad during 1 or 2 semesters, or during 2-3 months internships. We are very active in mobility programmes as well, like CEEPUS or the Indonesian IISMA programme. The CEEPUS programme allows students to apply for STE (short term excursion) trainings in Central and Eastern European Countries.

The active participation of our academic staff in mobility programs and the extended network of our international research partners allows us to keep up to date with the latest trends in the industry.
