KLEBELSBERG LIBRARY (LOCATED IN JÓZSEF ATTILA STUDY AND INFORMATION CENTRE, TIK) Central Europe’s biggest university library, the SZTE Klebelsberg Library is located in the Study and Information Centre (TIK) with nearly 3 million documents, 350 thousand of them are shelved in the open reading areas on four floors organized by their respective subjects. E-services for your convenience: Browse the online catalogue, make a storage request from home or renew your books online. Wi-Fi network is available, you can ask for guidance from the ever helpful library staff till late evening on workdays for both the general and electronic services.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE CENTRE (IKI) The Foreign Language Centre offers general as well as specialised English, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Russian and Spanish language courses at nearly all levels to students who are not majoring in these languages at the University of Szeged. Students with an active status at the University of Szeged are entitled to a certain number of language courses free of charge. The Foreign Language Centre is an accredited examination centre for various exams in English, German and Hungarian languages (including IELTS, Telc, and TOLES).

FRANCOPHONE UNIVERSITY CENTRE: The Francophone University Centre helps students studying in French, as well as lecturers and researchers working in French to meet their goals in an international framework. Facilities such as a well-equipped working area with free access to computers and to the constantly enriched documentation are also provided. By organizing cultural soirees, debate afternoons, film clubs and some other programmes (sport, music), the Centre contributes to strengthening personal links inside the francophone community of the University.

CONFUCIUS INSTITUTE The Confucius Institute is a part of the international network of Confucius Institutes and Classrooms consisting of over 1,500 facilities in the world. It offers Chinese language classes and cultural events based on the program approved by the Chinese Government. Chinese language classes within the university’s credit system are taught by professional native language teachers. The Institute organizes official language exams and provides scholarships to China for foreign students.

SZTE CULTURAL OFFICE The SZTE Cultural Office organizes the university's cultural life, coordinates the work of registered self-employed and art groups, cultivates cultural relations inside the university, between the university and the city, and also organizes cultural events. Its most prominent festivals are the Autumn Cultural Festival and the University Spring. Every year the office announces creative competitions and performer contests for students. In the first semester you can apply for the traditional University Music Competition and the University Poem and Prose Declamation Contest. In the second semester it continues with the University Photo Competition. Among the creative competitions there are often poetry, novel and drama writing contests too.

STUDENT COUNSELING The Student Counseling Centre provides help for the student community in tackling life management difficulties. We offer our counseling services for all active students of the SZTE for five sessions free of charge upon registration. Students may check in via this e-mail: tanacsado@rekt.szte.hu. Our counselling service is strictly confidential thus no information will be passed to any third party. The language of the individual counselling sessions offered to foreign students is ENGLISH.

SZTE CAREER OFFICE The SZTE Career Office offers job and internship opportunities and many other services to support the professional development of students and recent graduates of the SZTE preparing them for the labour market. As a foreign student you can take part in the Job Fair organized by the Career Office twice a year in József Attila Study and Information Centre where you can meet more than 70 regional and national companies. SZTE ALMA MATER Lifetime membership in our alumni community: Be a student of Szeged - forever. SPORT CENTRE The SZTE Sport Centre was founded in 2002 to organize the compulsory Physical Education courses and to coordinate sport life at the University of Szeged. There are almost 150 courses to choose from in 55 different sports.

BOTANICAL GARDEN The Botanical Garden of SZTE, apart from maintaining the already present plant collections and establishing new ones, contributes to the preservation of the genome of protected plant species and, being part of the university, it is serving education and research as well. Furthermore, the Botanical Garden considers it important to take part in forming an environment-conscious approach, in dissemination and public education by organising science classes, extra-curricular activities, weekend family programmes, and exhibitions.

AMERICAN CORNER SZEGED It is a modern and cozy place located in the community centre Szent-Györgyi Albert Agóra. It hosts a variety of programmes, and it is a great space for:
