The faculty is a technical faculty with 50 years of educational and R&D experience, an appealing choice for potential students in BSc and MSc programs, highly qualified and acknowledged faculty, a perfect balance of theoretical and practical training based on extensive industrial relations. In accordance with today’s needs – is the one of the most important bases of engineering education at the University of Szeged and in the Southern Great Plain Region with its highly qualified experts in possession of academic degrees, and with modernly equipped training rooms and laboratories. The Faculty trains at the BSc and MSc levels in numerous fields of engineering sciences both in Hungarian and in English: Food Engineer (BSc), Mechanical Engineer in Agriculture and Food Industry (BSc), Mechanical Engineering (BSc, MSc), Mechatronical Engineer (BSc, MSc), Engineering manager (BSc, MSc); Food Science and Technology Engineering (MSc), Food Safety and Quality Engineering (MSc).

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS IN GENERAL Applicants must submit an online application form here: https://apply.u-szeged.hu, pay the requested fees and upload the necessary documents. For MSc program: Submitted online application form; Bachelor of Science certificate (BSc in Food Engineering, Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, Agriculture, Agronomy, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, Analytical, Organic Chemistry or Physic), a demonstrated proficiency in English (B2 level or equivalent) and a Skype interview (oral entrance examination).

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS OF THE FACULTY CONCERNING STUDENT AND ACADEMIC STAFF MOBILITY Faculty of Engineering has more than 50 Erasmus+ partner universities in many countries of Europe. We offer students the opportunity of studying abroad for 1-2 semesters and 2-3 months internship. We are very active in CEEPUS mobility as well. 20-30 students take part in STE (short term excursion) visits in Central and Eastern European Countries for few days or longer time. Our academic personnel is also very active in mobility programs in order to broaden their international experience. Our research partners can be found in many countries as well.

SERVICES OF THE FACULTY FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS ESN Mentors, as members of a non-governmental, volunteer-based student organisation in Europe, are volunteers who help foreign scholarship students settling down in Szeged. In cooperation with the University, they help newly arrived students starting their academic and social life at SZTE and Szeged. International students are provided with accommodation in dormitories in suburban area of Szeged. The Information and Study Centre and the University Library, which is the biggest in Central Europe, offers online catalogue, storage request from home and four floors of documents for international students too.
