FIND YOUR THING
Gain the life skills and confidence to take your next steps toward internships, grad school or the job market — important things that bring you closer to your dreams. From experiential learning opportunities to hands-on faculty instruction, you’ll experience more support than you can ever imagine.
RESEARCH EXCELLENCE
The UofM is a Carnegie R1 institution, a distinction given to universities with the highest level of research excellence. Even if your college path doesn’t include research, you’ll learn from professors who are experts in their fields with strong industry connections.
STUDENT CONNECTIONS
With the excitement of Division I sports, the fun of more than 360+ clubs and organizations and the mentorship of faculty who thoughtfully guide you — college comes together in a way that creates connections and strong bonds. You’ll build an enormous network of incredible friendships.
• Memphis is a major metropolitan area with access to a thriving arts, music, food and entertainment scene with over 160 parks and stunning riverfront access.
• The big M is famous for our music — blues, soul, hip hop, rap, gospel and rock ‘n’ roll.
• On average, we enjoy 234 days a year of sunshine for year-round fun — kayaking, biking, festivals, sports and recreation.
• Major Fortune 500 companies, mission-driven nonprofits and creative start-up companies, including FedEx, AutoZone and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital call the City of Memphis home.
UofM IS A LARGE COLLEGE,
but it feels smaller because it’s so easy to find people you identify with. It’s a diverse place that’s big on kindness and bringing people together.
