Your next steps Establishing a timeline will help both us stay on course. If you have an engagement session or bridal session with your wedding day package, let’s get that booked asap! If you are wanting to use your engagement images for “Save the dates”, I suggest having your session 6 months out from your wedding date. If you are wanting a bridal portrait displayed at your wedding, I suggest having your bridal session at least 60 days from your wedding day.
one week after Sneak peek images are posted to Facebook and my blog for your friends and family to view.
three weeks after At your viewing session, you’ll see edited images and your album design. We’ll place orders for prints, canvases, and other items.
six weeks after Your wedding album arrives. Most of your other printed items should already be in your hands.

Engagement sessions I LOVE engagement sessions! This is the perfect time to get comfortable in front of my camera. It’s also a great time for us to get to know each other better. I suggest to keep the location for your engagement session true to who you are as a couple. If you’re laid back and simple, I suggest a simple location (Downtown or Fields). If you are more in with trends, I suggest a Winery and Urban location. We’ll work together to plan out your engagement session location and outfit choices.
Bridal sessions
Having a Bridal session prior to your wedding day is a great way to get an idea for your wedding day
look. I highly suggest using this time to do a Hair + Makeup trial and Mock bouquet trial. Plus, it’s just fun to get some pretty pictures of you in your dress prior to your wedding day. Your wedding day will go by so fast and sometimes schedules wont allow the extra time for Bridal portraits.
Boudoir sessions
Wanna give your soon-to-be hubby a special gift?! Something fun, sexy, romantic? Boudoir portraits are the perfect gift! He will LOVE the album or calendar you give him on your wedding day! There
is so much you can do with Boudoir portraits. Boudoir doesn’t always mean you have to wear sexy lingerie. You can wear one of his long shirts, a tie, etc.... and your location can be a hotel, the beach, or your home. There are so many options!

Wedding timeline GETTING READY: THE BRIDE & GROOM — 1.5 to 2 HOURS Plan for some additional time for photos at the salon, and if you’re planning a “first look.”
THE WEDDING CEREMONY — 15 MINUTES to 1.5 HOURS The length of your ceremony may vary significantly. Afterward, allow more time for formal portraits (if planned) to allow your guests to leave the church or venue.
GROUP & FAMILY PORTRAITS — 30 MINUTES to 1.0 HOUR Formal portrait timing can vary widely depending on group size and family/group combinations.
WEDDING PARTY & THE NEWLYWEDS — 1.0 to 3.0 HOURS Timing can depend largely on the venue, size of the bridal party and variety of poses.
YOUR RECEPTION — 2.0 to 6.0 HOURS Your first dance, cutting the cake, dancing guests, friends and family sharing your joy. Remember, your wedding day is unique, and planning together ensures you don’t miss a minute of this special time in your lives.

Getting ready
Tips: Find the loveliest space available to you. Rooms with lots of natural light make for beautiful photos. Remove distracting elements (coffee cups, plastic bags, etc.) from visibility.

Ceremony Before the ceremony Make sure to have some moments alone. This will help you prepare yourself for the walk down the aisle. Plus, you will be surrounded by your family and guests the rest of the day. These few moments alone will be much needed. When we work on your timeline, make sure to allow yourself extra time. The last thing you want to do on your wedding day is rush around.
Walking down the aisle When walking down the aisle, walk slow, keep your eyes on the groom. Do not look at the photographers. We want to make sure we capture all your sweet moments... IN the moment.
The first kiss Make that first kiss last! No small + quick peck will do. Hold that first kiss for at least a couple of seconds.

Our mission
As a wedding photographer, a family photographer, a wife and a mother, I know these moments intimately from both the real life side and the photography side. I’ve experienced the joyful tears (and some sad ones), the laughter, the anticipation of standing on the brink of change just before jumping into something new and beautiful. It is because of my own experiences that I know the importance of not just capturing, but remembering, those moments. Being a wedding photographer and family portrait photographer pushes me on a daily basis to capture the special and tender fleeting moments because you will want to relive the romance of your wedding. Because graduating from high school is a milestone. Because your baby won’t smile at you like that forever (trust me, I know). Your fleeting moments are as important to me as my own, and I want to preserve them for your children and their children, and especially for you. I hope you’ll invite me to capture those fleeting moments. /MRPhotography /MonicaRobertsPhotog
