How We Met As told by the bride
Ok, so Jason will probably say that I stalked him on social media and I had been plotting for months on how to get him to be my boyfriend. This is not entirely true. We had both recently moved back home after college, and weren’t very happy about being back in Augusta. Most of our friends were in other cities. At the time, we were both working at The Boys & Girls Club of the CSRA but at completely different sites. I was at the South Augusta site and he worked at Dogwood Terrace. I had recently been moved to a new higher paying position and was assigned new hire training. I saw Jason at the training and immediately thought, “Oh, he’s cute!” I didn’t say anything to him though, and several months passed. I had forgotten that he existed because we worked at different sites. In November of that year I became very ill and was hospitalized for about a week. I lost a ton of weight and my confidence level was pretty much shattered. I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and placed on medication to alleviate my symptoms. In December I decided to attend the annual Christmas party held for Boys & Girls Club employees despite having missed several weeks of work. My mom came along as well. Jason was there and my mom mentioned to me that she knew him. He had gone to Jamestown, the elementary school that I had attended. Again, I didn’t say anything to him and didn’t see him again for a while. A couple of weeks later we had another training in which employees of all sites were required to attend. I saw Jason for a third time, but still didn’t say anything. I went home feeling defeated and like I had missed my chance. I decided to do something completely out of my character and message him on Facebook. I sent a simple message saying hello and asking if he had attended Jamestown (which I already knew he had, but I thought it would be a good conversation starter). We ended up talking ALL NIGHT and realized that we had a lot in common. He eventually gave me his number and we set up a lunch date, and now here we are. It all started with a DM lol. Who would’ve thought a simple message would lead to a lifetime partner? I definitely didn’t. I was really just messaging him hoping for a friendship, but I am so glad that it turned into something much more than that!

Interview with the Bride & Groom
What was your first impression of your spouse? Him: When we first met I realized that Tiffany was completely different from any other female that I had dated. Her way of thinking was different. She had dreams and goals. She was educated. She was opinionated. She was passionate. I knew that this had the potential to be something special. Her: My first impression of Jason was that he was shy, smart, and kind of quiet. I am sure this is how he appears to most who don’t actually know him. I quickly found out that there is nothing shy or quiet about Jason. Even now sometimes I have to tell him to be quiet lol he will talk your head off if you let him!
What’s the most interesting or surprising thing you’ve learned about each other? Him: I have learned that Tiffany is Superwoman. She literally can handle anything that is thrown at her. She takes on so much, and she always makes it look easy. Her: Jason is really secretly hilarious, no one would ever know it though. At home he says the most ridiculous and funny things, he should be a comedian. He likes to watch Youtube videos on technology, he’s pretty tech savvy. He has an obsession with Disney World. He absolutely loves watching documentaries, which is odd to me because I think they are boring. He is a complete history nerd.
What did you do on your first date? Him: I guess our first “date” was at Zaxbys. I ordered a chicken finger plate and she ordered a big zax snack. We really just ate and had conversation, I learned a lot about her. Her: Our first date technically was lunch at Zaxby’s I guess...even though I didn’t know that it was a date. We ate and talked mostly. I remember not eating much because I was still a little skeptical about eating certain things.
What is one of your favorite memories together? Him: Our first trip to Disney World is probably one of my favorite memories together. The drive to Florida was EPIC! In those eight hours we argued, made up, got lost, and had a 90s jam session. Definitely a lot of fun! Her: One of my favorite memories together is when we went to Las Vegas for my 25th birthday. It was Jason’s first time flying and he was so nervous (I had to hold his hand on the flight lol). We had so much fun walking the strip and gambling once we got there though! Not to mention the amazing hotdogs we had at Pink’s. Definitely one of my favorite memories we have together, I want to go back!
Who initiated the first kiss? Him: I don’t remember, but I am sure that I did. Her:Jason initiated the first kiss, he was taking me home one night and suggested that we kiss at a red light. Who was the first to say I love you? Him: Again, I don’t remember but I am sure it was me. Tiffany makes me sappy. Her: I really don’t remember so I’m just going to say Jason for this one as well.
What do you love most about your spouse? Him: As crazy as it sounds I love everything about her, from her flaws to her perfections. There isn’t just one thing that I can single out about her that I love most. Her: There are several qualities that I love about Jason, so it’s hard to pick just one. If I had to
choose I would probably say the thing that I love most about him is that he is selfless. He often puts the needs of others before his own (which can sometimes be problematic). He is caring and has a really good heart. When did you know they were the one? Him: After we had been together for about a year I knew that TIffany was the one. I knew that I loved her and she loved me, I just wanted us to grow more and fully know each other inside and out. I knew that I wanted to marry her after year one though. Her: After we had gotten food one day I started having really bad stomach pains and was crying. This was the first time I had cried in front of him
and I felt really embarrassed about it. Jason was very comforting and understanding throughout the situation and tried to make me feel better. I think this was when I knew that he was the one when I realized that he genuinely cared about my well-being. What’s next for you two? Him: Next up we’re going to buy a bigger house and start working on having some kids! Her: I am not exactly sure what’s next, but I’m really excited to see what the future holds for the two of us! We do have a couple of vacations planned for next year after graduation and we are planning to purchase a larger home together sometime next year as well.
With Warmest e d u t i t a r G from the bride & groom We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who took the time out to share in our special day. It truly means the world to us! To our parents: Your love and support goes beyond what we could have ever imagined or asked for. Who we have become, what we believe, and our ability to look towards a wonderful future together as husband and wife come from all that you have instilled in us. Thank you for everything. This day would not be possible had it not been for you. We love you very much! To our family and friends: Thank you for coming from near and far to share in our joy and happiness on this day as we begin our lives together. We have shared love, happiness, and laughter with each of you over the years and are looking forward to sharing many other special memories with you in the future.
