MAK I NG CONN EC TI ON S At UNM Housing, we make it our mission for residents to feel comfortable and at home. UNM Housing is more than just a place to sleep. It’s a community where you will be sustained in the company of lifelong friends you have yet to meet.

RESIDENT ADVISOR PROFILE

SUHA M.

Senior, Intl. Studies & Political Science Woodbury, Minnesota Redondo Village Resident “As an RA, I’ve been able to help build communities across campus, and know that they have been really impactful for my own personal growth. Through Residence Life, I was able to get connected to so many communities beyond the housing community as well, from ASUNM to New Student Orientation. UNM houses so many different organizations and groups and Residence Life is an amazing place to start! There is also always something happening on Johnson field, or in any of the residence halls at any given time, making it so easy to meet people, find your niche on campus and so much more! I truly could not imagine my college experience without living on campus!”

STUDENT PROFILE

ELLIE A.

Junior, Art Studio & Photography House, New Mexico Hokona Resident “Moving to Albuquerque from a small town in New Mexico, I came in with little knowledge about the area and no friends or family around the area. I am so grateful that I moved into Hokona hall my freshman year! I would not be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and the friends that I have gained if it weren’t for my experience living on campus. Being part of a UNM organization, working at several different areas around UNM, and being part of the community have helped me grow. They’ve been experiences that I will appreciate for the rest of my life.” 4
