3 Steps of Priority Renewal
1. REGISTER
The first step is to fill out the Priority Renewal registration. Head to your Residence Dashboard. Choose to keep your same room, select a new option, or let us know you’re returning, but don’t have a preference. If you choose to stay in your same room, your process is complete and you’ll be set with your space for the following year.
2. ROOMMATE MATCH
During the Roommate Match period, you will log into your Residence Dashboard and select a roommate(s). If you know who you want to room with, check out Choosing a Roommate on page 10 for details. If you don’t know who you want to live with, complete the match process to find a new friend!
3. ROOM SELECTION
Prior to Room Selection, you will receive an email with a time slot for selecting. The selection times are based on your class classification (grad students go first, then seniors, and so on), followed by the time you submitted your application. So the earlier you apply, the higher priority you receive! Select your room within your time slot to have the best chance of getting what you want. Someone else’s time slot will open after yours and may be a possible roommate!

Registration Options
All of the steps of Priority Renewal are done through your Residence Dashboard, including the first step, Registration. On your registration form, you will be asked to select 1 of 5 Housing Options that best suits your plans for 2023-2024. The options are listed below and will have the same names and numbers on the actual registration form.
Option 1: I want to remain in my current room next year.
Option 2: I want to remain in my current room, in my Living Learning Community Next Year.
Option 3: I want to join a Living Learning Community or change rooms within my LLC.
Option 4: I want to move to or find a new room in a Main Campus residence hall.
Option 5: I want to find a new room in or move to Lobo Rainforest.

Option 1
I WANT TO REMAIN IN MY CURRENT ROOM NEXT YEAR.
Option 1 is for you if:
• You like where you currently live and want to return to the same room in the same residence hall next year
Option 1 is NOT the right fit if:
• You want to pick a roommate or be part of an apartment-mate group (option 4 will help make sure you get the roommate(s) you want!)
• You want to join a Living Learning Community
• You are already a member of an LLC
• You want to move to a new residence Hall
• You want to move to Lobo Rainforest
Option 2
I WANT TO REMAIN IN MY CURRENT ROOM, IN MY LIVING LEARNING COMMUNITY NEXT YEAR.
Option 2 is for you if:
• You are a member of an LLC AND you want to stay in the same room

Option 2 is NOT the right fit if:
• You are not already a member of an LLC
• You are an LLC member but you are looking for a different room
• You want to choose specific roommates in an LLC. See option 3 for that!
Option 3
I WANT TO JOIN A LIVING LEARNING COMMUNITY OR CHANGE ROOMS WITHIN MY LLC.
Option 3 is for you if:
• You want to join an LLC!
• You are already a member and you are looking to change rooms with the LLC
• You want to join an LLC and be matched with a specific roommate*
• You are an LLC member and want to be matched with a specific* roommate
Option 3 is NOT the right fit if:
• You do not want to live in an LLC

Option 4
I WANT TO MOVE TO OR FIND A NEW ROOM IN A MAIN CAMPUS RESIDENCE HALL.
Option 4 is for you if:
• You want to find a new room in your current residence hall
• You want to find a new room in a different residence hall
• Having a specific roommate is important to you
Option 4 is NOT the right fit if:
• You want to be in or stay in an LLC
• You want to move to Lobo Rainforest

I WANT TO FIND A NEW ROOM IN, OR MOVE TO, LOBO RAINFOREST.
Option 5 is for you if:
• You already live at Lobo Rainforest and want to choose a new room
• You want to move to Lobo Rainforest
Option 5 is NOT the right fit if:
• You want to live in an LLC
• You want to live on Main Campus

Selecting a Roommate
ONE ROOMMATE
• Find your roommate code on the top of the Residence Dashboard
• Insert each other’s roommate code when prompted
• Accept roommate invite request
• Choose a roommate group leader*
• Done!
ROOMMATE GROUP
• Find your roommate code on the top of the Residence Dashboard
• Choose a roommate group leader!*
• The roommate group leader inserts each roommates code when prompted
• Accept roommate invite requests
• Done!
* Note when choosing the group leader, this is the person who gets to select the room for the group.
