University of Northwestern Ohio Athletics Hall of Fame
Beginning in 2007, the University of Northwestern Ohio has annually inducted a new class into its Athletics Hall of Fame, honoring those who helped make UNOH Athletics what it is and continues to become. The classes honor both contributions to UNOH and Northwestern Business College, the institution’s name while athletics were in play before the mid-1980s. The first inductee to the Hall of Fame was former basketball player and coach Dennis Elwer, who continues to serve the University as the Director of Athletic Alumni Relations. The second class included Larry Blain, who was the University comptroller and continues his long-held duties as the official scorer for volleyball and men’s and women’s basketball.
