The United Nations Regional Information Centre (UNRIC) is pleased to invite you to the second edition of CINÉ-ONU on Wednesday May 2nd from 16.00 to 18.30 at Residence Palace. In part one, CINÉ-ONU will screen ‘Draw the line” a documentary about the origins and ongoing success of the “Cartooning for Peace” initiative, which was launched by Kofi Annan and the French cartoonist Plantu in October 2006. The documentary will be followed by a
question and answer session with the film-maker Michel de Wouters and cartoonists Plantu (France) and Ali Dilem (Algeria).
In part two, we will screen “La Guerre et la Paix Selon l’ONU”, a film by Charles Bernard about MONUC: the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in the Congo. You will also have an opportunity to visit UNRIC’s library with information material about the United Nations. UN staff will be available to answer your questions and to talk about their work and experience as representatives of the organization. The event will take place on Wednesday 2nd May 2007 between 4.00 and 6.30 pm at: Block C2, 8th floor, Residence Palace, Rue de la Loi 155, Brussels 1040 (Metro Station: Schuman). Entrance is free.
