The United Nations Regional Information Centre (UNRIC) is pleased to invite you to the first edition of CINÉ-ONU on Tuesday March 13th from 16.00 to 18.30 at Residence Palace. In part one, CINE-ONU will screen ‘UN Generation”, a 52 minute documentary about the work of three UN staff engaged in missions on the ground. It demonstrates the commitment of young people from all over the world who share the same ideals, who are passionate about their beliefs despite occasional doubts, fears and disappointments. The film will be followed by a question and answer session with the film makers, Richard Puech and Charles Bernard. In part two, we will screen four short films on global issues such as HIV/AIDS, Developments Goals and woman’s role in peace negotiations. Our season of short films and documentaries on “Problems without Borders” will allow you to enter the world of the United Nations: its vision, its mission and its values. You will also have an opportunity to visit UNRIC’s library with information material about the United Nations. UN staff will be available to answer your questions and to talk about their work and experience as representatives of the organization. The event will take place on Tuesday 13 March 2007 between 4.00 and 6.30 pm at: Block C2, 8th floor, Residence Palace, Rue de la Loi 155, Brussels 1000 (Metro Station: Schuman). Entrance is free. As there is limited seating we kindly ask you to fill in the registration form and return it to: sfialho@unric.org by Friday 9 March 2007. Tel : +32 (0)2 788 8484 www.unric.org
