Young Innovators Competition 2013 (ITU) http://www.unric.org/en/competitions ITU are looking for the next generation of social technopreneurs – young people aged between 18 and 26 with an inspirational ICT-based solution to developmental challenges. Ten winning finalists will be selected to attend ITU Telecom World 2013 in Bangkok, taking part in workshops, pitching sessions, mentoring and networking, plus receiving seed funding of up to USD 10,000 per project. The submission deadline is 1 June, 2013

PLURAL+ 2013 Youth Video Festival http://www.unric.org/en/competitions The International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) are once again inviting the world’s youth and to share their vision with the world by submitting original and creative videos focusing on the themes of migration, diversity and social inclusion. Now in its 5th year, the PLURAL+ youth video festival is an empowering tool and platform for young people from the ages of 9 to 25 to speak out. The submission deadline is 30 June, 2013

Innovate Your Future campaign (ECOSOC) http://www.unric.org/en/campaigns ECOSOC has launched a major online campaign aimed at bringing the voices of youth into the important discussions and decisions of the Council ahead of its annual meeting in July. Youth are invited to share their ideas and thoughts on how science, technology and culture can help shape a sustainable world on ECOSOC’s dedicated Facebook page. Just launched is also a Thunderclap page, asking people across the globe to help empower youth to sustain the planet. The online forum will run from 20 March to 1 July 2013
