I’ve been spending the past few months binge watching RICK STEVES’ EUROPE, AMERICA’S TEST KITCHEN and COOK’S COUNTRY. This summer, as we move into the “new normal” of life coming out of the pandemic, the joys of both travel and barbecuing in my backyard with friends and family are at the front of my mind. et ready for another peek behind the royal curtain with PBS favorite Lucy Worsley! Each episode takes viewers across Britain and Europe to visit incredible locations where royal history was made. During Worsley’s tour through European history, viewers learn the true stories behind Elizabeth I and the Spanish Armada, Queen Anne and the formation of Great Britain, Marie Antoinette and the French Revolution, and more. Season Two of LUCY WORSLEY’S ROYAL MYTHS & SECRETS includes three new episodes and premieres Sunday, August 29 at 7 PM on Channel 10.1.

eason two of the mega-hit MASTERPIECE series filmed this past spring in Yorkshire and is currently scheduled to premiere in January 2022. Along with all the regular members you loved in Season 1, Patricia Hodge (Miranda, A Very English Scandal) has been cast to assume the role of Mrs. Pumphrey, the delightfully eccentric owner of the pampered Pekingese, Tricki Woo. Hodge replaces acclaimed actress Dame Diana Rigg, who passed away last year. Also joining the cast are Dorothy Atkinson (Call the Midwife) as
Diana Brompton, whose vivacious nature captures Siegfried Farnon’s eye at the local church hall dance, and James Fleet (The Vicar of Dibley) as Colonel Merrick, an impressive military man and local farmer. Set during World War II, this drama follows the fortunes of the Coyne family of Northern Ireland, as they struggle to maintain a normal life after a huge US Army Air Force airfield, with 4,000 service men and women, lands in the middle of their rural parish. (Season 1)

In a drama tinged with humor and heartbreak, Tom Hollander (Baptiste) and Saskia Reeves (Luther) play a couple who embark on a long-planned grand tour of Europe, despite the wife’s wrenching proclamation that she wants to leave the marriage. The four-part series is based on a novel by best-selling author David Nicholls.
Based on the novels of William Graham, POLDARK is one of the most successful British television dramas of all time. The location filming in the lush Cornish countryside combined with a swashbuckling and romantic protagonist Captain Ross Poldark as portrayed by Robin Ellis captured the hearts and imagination of audiences everywhere.

Meet Deborah Sobczak & Douglas Brodzik Tell us a little about yourself and your family. We both work in the commercial real estate community. Deb is the president and owner of Eastmore Real Estate. Doug is a senior vice president for commercial real estate lending for First Business Bank. We have known each other and have been doing business together for 37 years. We’ve been together for 20 years and married for 15. Doug has three boys and together we have seven wonderful grandchildren. How has the last year been for you and your family? Work has been going really well, despite the pandemic; we have been fortunate enough to be able to work from home. When we are not pursuing our professional endeavors, we have been spending a lot of time with our grandchildren, which has been wonderful. Deb has been enjoying spending her free time baking and making homemade ice cream, and Doug loves spending time fishing, especially ice fishing. How long has Milwaukee PBS been part your life? Deb grew up on the eastside of Milwaukee, and her parents had PBS on at home. At some point, her parents became volunteers for the GREAT TV AUCTION and got

her into volunteering with Milwaukee PBS. We bought quite a bit of art over the years through the Auction, it was really something special. Doug’s parents had music programs on, like THE LAWRENCE WELK SHOW, which is still one of his favorites today. What are your favorite PBS programs? There are so many, really. Some favorites are DEATH IN PARADISE, MIDSOMER MURDERS, VERA, MASTERPIECE MYSTERY!, ENDEAVOR and THE GREAT BRITISH BAKING SHOW. We also enjoy the music specials. We donate because of the quality programming. If we don’t support it, how can it continue? We just believe in it. Thank you to Deb and Doug for sharing their story and for their ongoing support of Milwaukee PBS!

Sanditon is Coming Back!
T
he hit MASTERPIECE series SANDITON will return with Seasons 2 and 3 and continue Charlotte’s journey through life and love. While Sidney Parker will not return, rest assured that an abundance of romance and adventure lies ahead for our heroine. Premiering to wide critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic in 2019, SANDITON—based on Jane Austen’s final, unfinished novel and developed by Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning writer Andrew Davies—left fans hanging in suspense by the first season finale and clamoring for more. Season 2 will continue to follow the high-spirited and independent heroine, Charlotte Heywood (Rose Williams) as she returns to the picturesque coastal resort of Sanditon. Charlotte’s journey is one thread of an intricate tapestry of compelling stories full of intrigue, excitement and romance. Against the backdrop of beautiful vistas, familiar faces return and new inhabitants are introduced—all of whom will be having adventures as joyous and surprising as the seaside town itself. “We are absolutely delighted to announce a second and third season of SANDITON, a show that has inspired such a passionate and devoted fan base,” said MASTERPIECE executive producer Susanne Simpson. “Audiences can expect romance, humor and plenty of twists and turns in these new seasons.” Filming is expected to begin later this year. As the crime solving duo Cassie (Nicola Walker) and Sunny (Sanjeev Bhaskar) investigate a cold case with alarming links to the police force, a corpse is discovered in a scrap yard, his features frozen in time. UNFORGOTTEN Season 4 premieres Sunday, July 11 at 8 PM on Channel 10.1.
