Witty way to destress

Knitting and crochet are calming, relaxing and therapeutic and are great stress-busters! You can develop your creativity and gain new skills and techniques as you knit or crochet garments, toys and accessories. You can choose to work alone, join or develop a group of like minded people to create a project together and make new contacts and friends. The beautiful knitted and crochet figures we have seen on top of post boxes since the Queens’ Jubilee is a

winning example of creative group working. Increasingly, young people are seeing and feeling the joys of knitting and crochet, often the basics are taught in their own families by grandparents, who are passing on their skills and knowledge. We also run workshops at KnitWits and with the wonderful range of yarns available, pure wool, silk mixes, cotton and alpaca, knitting and crochet will surely continue to grow in popularity.
