- DAVID F. WOLF, 04 PH.D. VICE PRESIDENT DIVISION OF UNIVERSITY ADVANCEMENT
Mean Green Family— Here at UNT, we are proud of our entrepreneurial spirit. Looking back over the last two years working for my alma mater, I would certainly agree. The passion our alumni, donors and University Advancement team share for UNT is nothing short of amazing! Together, what we accomplish with this passion is transformational. Building a philanthropic culture doesn’t happen overnight. It requires vision, enthusiasm, perseverance and an extraordinary level of commitment from everyone who cares about this wonderful university. It requires generous donors and engaged communities balanced with strategy and intention. This year we maximized opportunities and leveraged results by creating goals centered on increasing major gifts through alumni engagement, annual giving, and corporate and foundation partnerships in order to build a groundswell of support. As a result of these efforts and your level of commitment, I’m happy to report that the University of North Texas is well on its way to building a culture of pride and commitment that is yielding philanthropic impact as never before. Our efforts, partnered with the generosity of our donors, has enabled us to secure much needed financial resources for student scholarships, faculty research opportunities and alummi programming. That is the essence of the mission of the Division of University Advancement—to successfully engage our donors and friends in the uniqueness of the UNT experience.
With your unwavering support of UNT, coupled with our vision of building an innovative and collaborative institution, we achieved our highest fundraising total ever with more than $30.1 million in commitments in fiscal year 2017.
