Trae Fittz
21
1. Introduce yourself to the world. I am Trae Fittz, a published poet, songwriter, and recording artist. I have been actively involved in music for 7 years now. 2. What is the music scene like in Los Angeles for you? The music scene in LA is really fast paced and I love it. Since performing all over Southern California this year, I’ve heard from so many artist who moved away from home just to chase their dreams as an entertainer and now they’re living in LA and making it happen. That’s really inspiring to me. So from what I see, you either sink or swim. 3. How did you get the name Trae Fittz? I started Rapping in Hip Hop groups where I discovered I had real potential to make a career out of music. In 2010, I formed a group called “Fittz Fam” we were a fashion crew and the life of every local party we went to. When it came to the members we all had a Nickname with “Fittz” as the last name. Being the 3rd William in my Family, my nickname is Trae. Then I became “Trae Fittz” and that name has always stuck with me. 4. How did you make a name for yourself in the industry? Fittz Fam, in the beginning. Me, Pac Fittz & our super-producer BeatKnoxxx made a HUGE & significant impact in the music industry & we turned heads instantly. We are the
22
ones who pioneered promoting music online before Twitter got really popular. Before Facebook would let you share links & promote 6 years ago, we implemented guerrilla-marketing tactics that amassed a big following for us. Our music had thousands of plays & hundreds on hundreds of downloads (for those that were smart enough to see that you could download our music). I still have most of our/my fans from then. Nowadays, as of this year (2016) as a solo artist, I released a really unique song & video called “Me Now” on YouTube that has done pretty well. A promoter saw it and wanted to take me under his wing and go on tour. So I’ve been booking shows left and right ever since then because people are starting to take me/my craft seriously now that they see what kind of moves are being made. 5. What are you doing to set yourself apart from other artist? I stand firmly in my truth and never try to be someone I’m not. I am a well-mannered educated young black entrepreneur who pretty much does it all on his own! I stay busy hand crafting my dreams. I’m not a gangbanger, so my music is about uplifting people minds so that they’ll be better versions of themselves and choose to mature one day because we are eventually
forced to. I speak with wisdom beyond my years because I my parents are old school. I respect the essence of Hip Hop & deeper than that, the craft of music in all of its forms/genres. What also sets me apart is my voice, personality, attitude, style, and approach from song to song being very versatile. Lastly, would be intricate lyrics that create a puzzle of substance listeners have to marinate on by replay value. I take more time than I should to craft quality songs for people to vibe with. What my craft means to me and what I put into it is the difference between me and everybody else. 6. What is your definition of “making it”? Making it, for me, would be earning large sums of residual income on top of my active income streams. I want to live comfortably being paid for my talents. Making it is having Fans that love what you do & who will support you because you’ve touched their lives somehow. It’s not about being famous or a superstar, we have to define what successful is to us. 7. When is your next project dropping? And what can fans expect to get out of listening to your album? my next project is scheduled to drop is in 2 months. I’m about halfway finished with the project, still thinking about the name. It’s staying focused and disciplined when you’re on a mission to make your dreams happen. It’s about distractions and how they end up being our obstacles. I just want to inspire a sense of purpose and urgency in people that will motivate them to think and act differently, then they’ll be able to changes their lives.
In the early 2000’s we were homeless and living in a motel and I saw all the stress she was dealing with and still pushing her way through school. She now has a PHD and always gives me sound advice on how to manage my business. Women like her are a great example for us men to step or game up in the world. Otherwise, you won’t be good for anybody including yourself. 11. Shout outs? I want to give a shout out to my Mom for sacrificing so much unselfishly just to help me make it this far. She’s been in the trenches with me for sure. I love you Mom. Second, I want shout out my great friend and business partner @BeatKnoxxx, who is also my Producer. Knox believed in me and realized my potential way before I did. He told me I could be really great so I worked my ass off with a lot of sleepless nights to test that theory. He was right. Knox is so talented when it comes to composing music that he’s created his own genre called “Synth-Hop”. Lookout for 4AM.Third, shout out to Pac Fittz for what we started together in Fittz Fam. Lastly, shout out to Vic Camp Ent for having me on the West Coast Platform Tour and always showing love. He put me on and he knows that. Much respect and love.

8. Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years? In the next 5 years, I plan to have established myself as more of a mainstream artist appearing on Billboard charts for multiple hit records. Running a successful music label, managing artists and also venturing off into Film and Television. The Sky is No Limit. 9. Do you do anything aside from music? Outside of writing poetry and songs, I’m really into Photography and making videos. I actually bought a Nikon so I could be my own cameraman and provide that service for other artists. 10. Who is your inspiration? And why? My Mom because she’s an accomplished black woman who struggled to raise a man on her own.

Annjewelz 28
Artist Name: Annjewelz City and State: Agawam MA Occupation: Singer/ Song writer/ Model Genre: ALL, recently Hip Hop and R&B Label: indie Affiliates: Wu Tang Clan, 1017 Brick Squad Real name: Julie Foley-Haney
1. Introduce yourself to the world? My birth name is Julie and when you say my name, you smile! My nickname is Vanilla Jewelz because of my scent being Vanilla but my stage name is Annjewelz, which I created because it sounds like “Angels!” 2. Who is your inspiration? I was born in Detroit so my inspiration started at birth hearing the sounds and vibes coming out of Motown. My first inspiration was Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson. I then discovered the way Prince Rogers Nelson made me feel and that is when I was hooked on R&B! I am a recent widow and have been inspired by the Great Spirit and soul of the man who made me his wife and widowed me. His love is still felt. 3. What is your biggest accomplishment as a musician? I would have to say being a singer in the Florida Philharmonic Orchestra in my younger days was a big accomplishment not shared by many. Recently, I am a singer songwriter on a Wu Tang Clan Mixtape and that is thrilling!! 4. What is it like being a female artist? I enjoy being an inspiration to other girls, ladies and women out there that are on the musical pathway. It is sometimes a lot easier being a female in the music industry only because there aren’t a lot of women doing what I do, especially in the genre I am in now, which is Hip Hop. 5. What is your connection to Wu- Tang Clan? I was a VIP at a show last fall where I met Buddha Monk and then I had the opportunity to audition for Ol Dirty Bastard’s son, Young Dirty Bastard aka
29
OBDJr. I then met official member of Wu Tang Clan’s DJ Coalition, Dj Flipcyide who asked me to drop some of my vocals on a track called The Forgotten Ones found on his WuFiles 2 Mixtape. This gave me street cred and opened doors for me to the Wu Tang Clan Family and its affiliates too. I got the chance to hang with GZA at one of his shows backstage and then partied with him at the club after his show. It is my dream to collaborate with Method Man…and hey, a grrl can dream big!! 6. When can fans expect an album to drop? I hope that 2017 will bring my solo debut album…I am manifesting this completion and making power moves!! 7. What is the hardest challenge you had to overcome as an artist? I am internationally known with an international fan base too. So when I work and do collaborations, sometimes they are international. The hardest part about what I do is trying to coordinate communication between me and artists who are on tour or very busy. When collaborating, I like to communicate my ideas and mesh them with the artists I am working with so everyone is happy with the results. Sometimes schedules, time differences and technology can make communicating difficult but I always try and find a way to get around that and connect with my collaborators before making the final cut.
songs I am working on with some big Wu Tang Clan names and affiliates…some so big, I cannot name!! Thanks to Eddie Powell aka Blacktear of BlackOut Radio, I am also excited to be working with 1017 Brick Squad members and affiliates like OG Mack Drama as a start. 11. Any shout outs? Wu Tang Clan, The WuLords, DJ Flipcyide, The Purge, Buddha Monk, Judah Priest, Joe Caine, Grand Surgeon, iNTeLL, GZA, Ol Dirty Bastard Jr (YDB), Nick Holtz, DJ King Ruckus, Universal Zulu Nation, Nasir Nolan of Straight Path Jewlz, Krook Rock, The Chopp Shop Radio Show, Detroit Unplugged, Royal Crush Takeover Radio Show, Eddie Powell aka Blacktear and BlackOut Radio, UnTouchables Magazine, OG Mack Drama, 1017 Brick Squad, Jennifer Burdick of Jenn Burdick Photography, Dr Wahnsinn, Leroy Moore and the Krip Hop Nation, Tig Stone, Carla Racine and The Buzz (A Honey Pot Production) and all my fans and friends who have shown me so much love and support!!
8. What is your definition of “ making it”? Sometimes just waking up and being alive is a success…lol…but I would say that being in a Shaggy/ Pitbull/Gene Noble “Only Love” lyric video put me on the map. My definition of “making it” is being an artist on a Wu Tang Clan (the WuLords) hosted Mixtape with artists like Killah Priest, Method Man, iNTeLL, Hell Razah and other talented artists. The only way is up from HERE! 9. Where do you see yourself 5 years from now? I see myself touring internationally with a couple of albums out and entertaining people all over the world, bringing the love back!! 10. What up coming projects are you working on? I am working on my song for official member of Wu Tang Clan’s DJ Coalition, DJ Flipcyide’s Wu Files 4 Mixtape. I have many singles I recorded over the last year that have yet to drop, plus some

Meek Mill
The Dreams and Nightmares Rapper Meek Mill has been the topic of discussion lately and not in a good way. He just seemed to be getting dissed left and right. First Cassidy murdered him when he claimed to be the “ King of Philly”. Than, Drake bodied him with “Back to Back”. Now, The Game has cooked up his own beef with the rapper. It started when Sean Kingston got smashed in the head with a bottle followed by getting his $300k chain snatched off his neck. Ever since The Game has been dropping diss records towards Meek Mills such as “Pest Control”. In response Meek drops “Ooouuu” (Remix) [The Game Diss] ft. Omelly & Beanie Sigel. Let see if Meek can get a “W” under his belt.
The Game
Birthdate: May 6, 1987 (age 29) Genres: Hip-hop
Is Compton Rapper “The Game” wrong for dissing Meek Mill? Who was right and who was wrong will anyone confess up? Seem like texting or calling doesn’t work either with these two. The Game made it known at his shows that Meek was a Snitch and threatened to beat him up. All this beef cooked up over The Game accusing Meek Mill of being a snitch when the investigation took place when Sean Kingston was robbed at an L.A. Night Club. Who cares what happen should the outcome of this situation end with beef?
Beanie Siegel
Nino Brown
Former Roc-A-Fella Records artist Beanie Sigel has been on the music scene heavy lately. His name was first brought up in the beef between Rapper The Game and Meek Mill beef. Since their beef so much has happened from Beanie Sigel saying he helped Meek Mill write Game Diss Lyrics to him getting jumped at the Bad boys Reunion show. Now the tables have turned and the American rapper Beanie Sigel has dropped three diss records against Meek Mill titled “ I’m coming”, “Goodnight”, and now “ Gang Gang”. Since the beef occurred he been back on like he never left. The Philadelphia rapper has now took the beef one step further by releasing an infamous podcast towards Meek Mill that went viral. Beans last hit album was “The B. Coming” in 2005. This is has been quite a run for Beanie Sigel as he was offered the opportunity to come aboard OVO Records as a consultant to share his knowledge with his team. He was offered half a mill per year without recording a single record. Sigel stood side by side with the legend Jay Z during the majority of his prime years. OVO made a smart decision picking him up. Birth Name: Dwight E. Grant Genre: Hip Hop | Born: March 6, 1974 (age 42) Labels: Roc-A-Fella Records, De Jam, Ruffhouse, Universal, Capitol.

Former “We The Best” Artist Nino Brown is making a Public Service Announcement. Brown claims that DJ Khaled stole his style and owes him royalties from writing hit hits. Nino Brown took to Instagram to show everyone proof that DJ Khaled indeed stole his swag. The videos reflect Khaled doing the exact same thing Brown would be doing in the same environment, same pose, and everything. If you don’t believe the hype go to Nino Brown Instagram for yourself. Is Nino Brown trying to bash DJ Khaled and simply attract buzz towards his name or did DJ Khaled really steal his swag. If so this would definitely be worth checking out.

UTEP and Wyoming black athletes were boycotting athletic events with BYU at that time because the Mormon church didn’t allow blacks in their priesthood. Back to the HemisFair ‘68. The Mormon Church had a Pavillion at the fair that I entered. Their guest log left room for comments and I blasted them for being racists. I left my name and my address. Two local Bishops showed up at my door about a month later. I slammed the door in their face. A year later I enrolled at UTEP with a partial scholarship in wrestling.
