It was a pleasure working with Yukmouth and his crew on this issue. Since Yukmouth been in the game for so long, I figured why not have a legend kick some game to today’s generations of musicians. I grew up listening to his single “5 on it” even when I didn’t smoke weed. It banged then, and it bangs now. When I heard that Yuk was interested in Untouchable Magazine, I automatically said Front Cover. I thought to myself, man you only got this dude once. Then said to myself; “you’re an artist too” what is something that people will always remember about this issue for the rest of their lives? Then, the idea came to mind; let’s take them back to the basics with “Hip-Hop Do’s and Don’ts.” Lately, the past couple of years, the artist pool has been getting a little too full. Now everybody and they mama rap literally. I wanted Yuk to give them the basic principles of hip-hop, so they can know what and what not to do. I knew Yukmouth experience in the business, so I knew he was the perfect one to fit my idea and bring my vision to life. I learned so much about Yukmouth himself and the whole Regime family. I had no idea he had so many artists signed to his label; although we were only able to place only a few of his artist in this issue. We hope that you stay in tune and keep reading and watching. I would like to first thank God for all of the blessings so far; I would like to thank my whole team at Untouchable Magazine for rocking with me and

believing in my dream. Without everyone, I would have never pulled through on this issue because for one, my camera was stolen at the 50 Cent concert and I lost all of Yukmouth photos on the memory card along with my camera, 4-5 other memory cards, my camera charger and battery, a light for the camera, and a backpack, and a couple of extra items like my earrings and what not. Big shout out to Nitro Geez for backing me up on the day of the interview and the shoot. Nitro Geez saves the issue, well, the front cover artist photos as you would say but who cares. I would not have a single picture of Yukmouth if it weren’t for him because my camera was stolen. At the end of the day, this taught me how important it is to have a team even if it’s a small team. The devil tried to stop me, but God overpowered him as he does in every situation. My team backed me up when I dropped the ball as CEO. Yeah, players fuck up sometimes too. But what separates me, as an individual is that I never looked at what happened to me as something negative. Not one time did I use what happened to me as an excuse to push it back, not drop the issue, or whatever the case may be? What I want readers to learn from my situation from this issue is make no excuses no matter what. Excuses do nothing but stop you. Instead, figure out alternatives to still achieve that same goal no matter what barrier comes in the way. Everything is in your head. You control it all. You are the only person who can stop you nobody else. Always remember to see good in every situation and remember there is light at the end of the tunnel. Untouchable Magazine covered Grammy award-winning Ne-Yo’s “The Smith’s Foundation” celebrity basketball game on Saturday, August 19th from 2pm-5pm hosted by John Silvers. The matchups were celebrities’ versus influencers. The celebrity team consisted of Tank, Flex Alexander, Daniel “Boobie” Gibson, Pleasure P, Beau “Casper” Smart, Paige Hurd, Bre-Z, and a few others with celebrity coach AJ Johnson also known as Jody Mama from Baby Boy starring Tyrese Gibson. Their competition the influencers consisted of

Don Benjamin, Adam Waheed, Yanira Pache, Tammy Brawner, Erika Ringor, Tonio Skits, Britt Elena, Carey “CareyBoy,” and much more. Each team walked the red carpet as media took photos of them. The celebrities beat the influencers by a couple of points, but I must say it was a very close game. Lee Majors Lee Majors was born in East Palo Alto, California, in a small northern Californian town. Lee Grew up with Scoot of Dem Hoodstarz a rap group signed to SMC Recordings. His mother raised six kids all by herself with limited finances, the family moved to West Oakland where his family frequently switched over from home to home. Even living in hotel rooms at times along the Macarthur Boulevard in the city. Lee’s mother struggled economically yet she persisted in raising her children properly. She would take the kids to eat at Muslim bakeries, where they would eat tofu dishes and brussel sprouts. Lee along with one of his siblings adopted rap aliases, becoming professionally known as Rahmean and Lee Majors. The pair joined up with mutual friend The Reason from West Oakland to form the trio Side Industry. In 1998 the group signed with Million Dollar Dream, a label owned by underground rapper Andre Nickatina. A year later they released their debut album “Everyday life”. The Record without any major distribution, press or promotion went on to sell over 15, 000 copies. Land of Siccness, the sophomore album was released in 2002 and went on to sell over 10,000 copies, though business fizzled out between Side Industry and the label Million Dollar Dream not too long after the release of the second album. Post their stay at Million Dollar Dream, Lee and his brother Rahmean would go on to link up with their cousin internationally gold selling artist Dru Down. In 2006 the trio teamed up to create the album “Cash Me out” which featured the likes of Keak Da Sneak, Yukmouth, The Jacka. It went on to sell over 10,000 copies. The following year the trio went on to release two mixtapes simultaneously “Crack Muzic 1 & 2”. One of the most important things to Lee is family, as seen with many of projects, creating numerous albums with his brother Rahmean and cousin Dru Down. The collaboration album between the three “The House’ was released summer 2007 through Major Muzic/Pimp On Records/urban Life Distribution. The third and fourth volumes of “Crack Muzic” is set to soon release with a trio album between the cousins to soon follow. In all Lee has released over 20 albums on his own with no major distribution or major radio airplay. Be on the lookout for much more from Lee A.K.A the Scraper King, as his production and rap will only get more polished and universal in time.

Yogi Calhoon The entrepreneur known as Yogi Calhoon was born in Lubbock, Texas and quickly moved to Oakland, California. At the age of one, he was raised in the Brookfield Village neighborhood in East Oakland, California. Even though this was Untouchable Magazine first time being in the house at Nick Cannon Ncredible Skate Night during BET weekend, this is not his first time having a skate night. It turns out he does this every year. I guess it’s safe to say Nick Cannon is Ncredible. The event took place June 23 at nine o’clock at Moonlight Rollerway Skating Rink in Glendale, California. Of course, Nick Cannon rented out the whole skating rink, so it made this event invite only. He invited all of his celebrity friends just to name a few Miss America, Steph Lecor signed to “We The Best,” Brittany Elena, Graciii, and tons more. There was beautiful woman everywhere, fly fellas, and lots of falls to the floor. This event was a 21 plus event, so you already know the bar was lit. Nick Cannon and the whole Wild N’ Out family was in the building they turned the skating rink into Hollywood with the red carpet and celebrities. The real party didn’t start until the Ncredible Nick Cannon walked in. He didn’t show up till about midnight because um well let’s just say he had a fashionable excuse. The moment Nick walked in cameras flashed and the party began. The love he received from his people was real. He showed love back to everyone by taking photos with them, stopping by the red carpet jumping in a few photos with his friends and even hitting the skating floor to skate

with them. Nick is a very humble guy and someone we all need to get to know especially if you want an invite to next years to skate night. It’s so much better going to the skating rink with people you know as opposed to people you do not know because fights and drama tend to break out during the end of the night. Everyone enjoyed their night. It was definitely a night to remember.

So, if I would have given them two albums the shit would have been played out like within a week. Me knowing about everything you know I handled my own business. I learned how to manage myself, book my own shows, all the shit. Even to record myself in the studio. I don’t mix and master, but I am very hands-on. You know it comes down to being selfmade. That’s definitely what I am self-made hands-on so I can be the CEO and artist all in one.

4. What are some of the struggles that come with creating your own record label? Ahh man! It’s the money, the backing. When you get the deals, joint venture deals, or distribution deals with the big labels. You know they put the backing behind you; you got that machine. When you independent you ain’t got that machine, so it’s all coming out your pocket, it’s all the connections you could bring to the table and network, you could do as far as your label and individually. So, at the end of the day you get more money but it’s still more of a hustle because you have to put more money in yadadamean. Like at the end of the day the label use to front the money, now you got to put up the money, so it’s just a whole different type of thing. But at the end of the day you double, quad-dripple your money everytime you put your money in. Probably stack your money 4x’s when you do put your money in there and put some merchandise out there, press up some albums and actually sale them yourself, just do the shit yourself period. When you put money into yourself, you definitely reap the benefits. 5. What are some of the qualities you look for in an artist before you sign them? Well, I usually look for is can they make a song? You know because a-lot of people could show up and like rap on the spot but can you make a song? Like a lot of niggas can rap on the spot then when they get in that booth they just turn to Mickey Mouse. They ain’t got it. It’s either you got it, or you don’t got it moral of the story. You know some people got it, and some people don’t got it you know straight up. It’s like I don’t know you got to have it. 15. Who was Yukmouth before stardom? JJ haha, that’s what this album about man. I was JJ just a dude that came up in the neighborhood had a couple of talents. I knew how to draw really good am a cartoonist. I knew how to play music man I had the trumpet in my hand; my dad was a bass guitar player he put the trumpet in my hand. At the age of 8 in third grade I was playing the trumpet. I was in a marching band I played the sneer drum and the bass drum, so I was always musically inclined. I was tired of going in and out of jail. I was hustling heavy, and I did a year in jail, and that changed my life around. When I came out of jail I was Yukmouth straight up I had a mission I had songs written. I had the Luniz concept with the Condom man drawn, the name, Num name, I had a whole little blueprint. That year time gave me too much time to think, and when I got out, I became somebody different man Yukmouth so yeah that’s who I am. 16. Summer Time in the LBC took place August 5, 2017, at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California. This day was literally a movie. We have over three hours of footage that will be made into a short documentary and placed on our YouTube channel. Believe me when I say this was Long Beach biggest and most cracking music festival of Summer 2017. This was an all-day event some of the earlier performances were names like Slick Rick, Phora, KRS-ONE, Baby Bash, Brenton Wood and much more. From the moment Untouchable Magazine got to Long Beach, it was a party. Our first stop was on the way to the Residence Inn by Marriott to pick up our passes for the event. Kurupt just so happened to be in the parking lot already turning up with his crew during his photo shoot behind an old school Rolls Royce. After leaving the hotel heading to the show, we

ran into an encounter. While driving through the artist entrance, we had to get out of our cars and let the bomb dogs search the vehicle for bombs and explosives. Everyone was forced to get their car search if they were coming in through the artist entrance they didnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t care celebrity or not. It was not easy getting into this show that is one thing for sure. Once we were finally in, we sat on the back of a golf cart and got escorted to our cabana behind the stage. knows him from. He walked off stage and took one or two photos with fans literally and jumped in the whip. In the mist of capturing 50 Cent whole performance, someone stole one of our cameras out of our cabana. Thank God! We didnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t lose any footage that we captured from this event, but we took a big poster on our camera along with all the equipment such as memory cards, lights, chargers, battery pack. 1. How is it being a father, husband, and cook at the same time? Do you do the majority of the cooking in your household? I think it’s great! Being a father is one of the best feelings in the world. My kids get to see me cook and follow my passion. I have the support from my wife 100%. She’s the backbone of my family, without her I wouldn’t be able to travel and move freely as I do. I do most of the cooking. I love going to the grocery store; I think it’s fun. Cooking is therapy for me; it’s a sense of calm and peace.

2. Tell the readers about the experience in culinary school. Going to culinary school was fun and challenging. I attended Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in Sacramento, Ca. The program was a yearlong 5 days a week. The fun part was learning and getting properly trained, meeting new people, the instructors, trying new food and learning new techniques. But I almost didn’t finish school. Three weeks after school started, I tore my rotor cuff, bicep tendon and a bone chipped off my left shoulder lifting weights. I was devastated. I informed the school whom then informed me I could take some time off and come back. It was not in my plan mentally. I had to finish. After a 5 ½ hour surgery December 11, 2014, I went back to school 2 days later. I had to sleep in a recliner, and my wife had to dress me for 3 months. Painkillers were out the question because I had to drive to school. That was a 1 ½ hour drive just one way; I still can’t believe I did that

The Business of Music Conference Music Industry Quarterly puts together one of the biggest business music conferences of summer 2017 in Woodland Hills, California from June 8th-10th. This three-day event had the top panelist hands down. With so many conferences going on throughout the day it was hard to keep up with every single one of them. Each day and each conference was a different topic with the appropriate panelist for each discussion. Thursdayâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s conferences included such topics like capture & deliver sounds & visuals you want, the future of music integration, marketing & branding of faith-based music in a social media world, inspired womanâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s power panel and much more. Some of Thursdays panelist included Billy Frank; CEO of Make it Happen Productions, Curtis Elerson; president of One Shot, Angela White; a Silver Lining Entertainment Film Producer, Brittney King; talent manager for King Creative Group, Jarrett Dyson; director of A&R for RCA Inspiration, Recording artist YoYo, Grammy-nominated recording artist & songwriter Adrian Anderson, Michelle Duffie CEO of D3 Entertainment, and so much more. Although the conference started at noon things were not fully over with till about one in the morning followed by happy hour, and R&B showcase, entertainment, and to end the night off with the late night zone.

BET experience was something else. Day one, we went to the celebrity basketball game. Players like Chris Brown, The Game, Young M.A, Kap G, Trevor Jackson, Big Boy, Nick Cannon, and much more were in the house. There was a halftime performance by the Untouchable Ayo & Teo with their hit single “Rolex.” The crowd went crazy. It was so many celebrities in the audience such as Michael Blackson, FatBoy SSE, Remy Ma and Papoose, and much more. Hours after the game, there was a performance to close out the night by some of the latest and hottest artists. Some who were in the celebrity basketball game and some who weren’t. Young M.A, Kap G, PnB Rock, Cardi B, Ace Boogie with A Hoodie; they performed their hottest, latest singles out till this day. We are so happy to catch Cardi B performing “Bodak Yellow” for the very first time at the BET Experience June 24, 2017. Since we uploaded the video on our YouTube channel, the video has over fortytwo thousand views, four hundred and sixty-three likes, twelve dislikes, and over thirty plus comments alone. The second day was just as fun as the first day. We ran into literally everyone From Big Tigger In The Basement, Jamie Foxx, O.T. Genasis, Too Short, Red Grant, DJ Drama, Mr. Bentley, Jamal Woolard “The Notorious B.I.G,” Chance The Rapper, and so much more. Every moment was an experience and something we will never forget. We cannot wait to see what they will have in store next year. If you didn’t go this year, be sure to order your ticket early and go next year.

Starring Ray J Ray Jâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s after party took place not too far from the TCL Chinese theatre. Lure nightclub in Hollywood is where it all went down. When I say this after party was the place to be I mean this after party was the place to be. The red carpet was long as two regular carpets with tons of media outlets including the most talked about magazine out right now Untouchable Magazine. Guest started to arrive about nine oâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;clock sharp. Here we go doors open let the fun begin. Ray J invited out his sister singer, songwriter, producer, and actress Brandy, CEO and Founder of Lookhu Byron Booker, actor and author Christian Keyes, actor Courtney Gains, Producer/artist Hanibull, actor and producer Jackie Long, actor and producer Juhahn Jones, Model Keith Carlos, Famous Vlogger Megz, COO of Lookhu Roy

Liebrecht, Music Industry Executive Kerry Gordy, rapper Rich Rick, singer Simonna, Harry Potter actor Devon Murray, and tons others. Everyone walked the carpet and got exclusive interviews and was very proud of their friend Ray J. They were happy to be there to celebrate his success with him. Power 106 DJ Inferno was on the oneâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s and twoâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s. He played the hottest and latest joints. He had the dance-floor going up. The party went on all night as everyone danced the night away. This was definitely a night and or party you did not want to miss because Ray J performed a few of his singles that night. During his performance he was throwing his Raytroniks smart fans to the crowd. Some people got one some people got two. The crowd reaction was crazy. The amount of love he received was off the unimaginable.

We captured some of the best memories from Ray J party on camera. As soon as you entered the building you could see the white fancy chandelier hanging from the ceiling to blow your mind away. Secondly, they had VIP tables on both sides of the club and a private VIP section on the stage where the DJ booth was. Everything about the venue was dope. It was a huge success Ray J done it again. Once the night ended he took off with his crew Ray J driving with his wife in the passenger seat, producer Knotch in the backseat, specials thanks to Lookhu and NRPR Group for inviting Untouchable Magazine out and letting us be apart of this experience.

Ray J’s Visual Album screening After-Party for Raydemption The summer of 2017 on the day July 8 Untouchable Magazine witnesses something never seen before by a musician. Singer, actor, and businessman Ray J introduces his first ever-visual album screening. The screening took place in Hollywood at the TCL Chinese theatre. There was a numerous of short films played by film directors from all over the world. Indie Night is something that takes place every Saturday. This time it was Ray J turn to show off how great his team is. Everyone walked the red carpet into the theatre to his or her seat to enjoy a great experience. Ray J had his whole team in VIP. Yes in the movie theatre. The whole bottom section of the theatre was just for Ray J and his entourage. Televisions personality Safaree, actor Jackie Long, of course his wife Princess Love Norwood was there just to name a few of his guest. He pasted out Raytroniks smart fans that attach to your phone to generate cooling air to his whole squad. Before starting the films Dave Brown the host of Indie Night introduced a couple of the films we will be watching and the film makers and just a little bit of what to expect. The first film goes by, followed by the second, and so on before we finally reach what everyone came to see “Raydemption.” Ray J walks on the stage and introduces his brand new never before seen film to everyone who was there. Okay now everyone be quiet the film is about to start. This is the moment we all been waiting for. Everyone grabs their popcorn, sodas, and get comfortable to enjoy “Raydemption”. The film broke down a lot of Ray J’s past life situation, a combination of music videos, and tons of excitement. While the film is playing I turned around and seen some people recording it on their phones. That showed me how thrilled they were to see the film. I thought in my head. Ray J did it again. The film lasted about forty-five minutes till an hour. Right after Ray J went back on stage to talk about his film. The host Dave Brown asked him questions about the film and his perspective on everything. The more Ray J answered questions the more it made sense. The whole crowd claps as Ray J leaves the stage and leaves the theatre while everyone else remains seated.

Untouchable Magazine soon later left the theatre as well and went outside of the main lobby to only discover Ray J himself. Fans started to gather around him and asked for photos. Untouchable Magazine of course was there first hand to take photos of everyone with Ray J. We moved from outside to back in the theatre main lobby. Now at this time everyone has left the theatre and is networking in the main lobby. Then we seen Safaree again but this time outside of the theatre and that’s were we got the chance to have the Brooklyn Rapper Safaree take a photo holding issue 6 of Untouchable Magazine with Melvin Jackson Jr. on the Front Cover. Then all of a sudden Ray J pulls up on a Raytronik Scoot-E-Bike. Fans started to approach him and question him about his new bike. As a result Ray J talks to everyone and explains what the Scoot-E-Bike is, how fast it goes, and where you can purchase it. Staff started to complain and someone asked Ray J nicely is he would “please not ride the bike inside.” In the meantime he continued to take photos with everyone has he walked the bike along his side. He took photos of everyone with himself and the bike. Photo after photo, supporter after supporter, fan after fan Ray J keep taking them with his fans. We also captured Ray J holding issue 6 of Untouchable Magazine. Big thanks to Ray J for the love. Ray J ended the event with telling everyone about his big after–party he was having along with his celebrity friends he invited out. Love and Hip-Hop Hollywood Safaree and Ray J were chopping it up as they were leaving the building. Untouchable Magazine got it all on camera. Ray J was sitting on his bike walking it while Safaree is on his side. They literally walked all the way out of the TCL Chinese theatre onto Hollywood Blvd. Someone walked passed Ray J and said “is that Ray J?” and I said yeah. He was “what the fuck this is crazy” and immediately turned back around and followed him. Then a rapper on Hollywood Blvd tries to get Ray J to purchase one of his cds. He says “Hey Ray J can you support a brother.” Ray J replies “Do you take card”, the Hollywood Rapper say, “No”. Ray J carried on walking his brand new Scoot-E-Bike down Hollywood Blvd with Safaree till they got in their whips and took off.
