Take a Campus Tour
Take a closer look at Exton Park on a student-led campus tour. Tours depart regularly from Seaborne Library (map reference ) and last approximately one hour. These tours will be running every 30 minutes, starting from 9:30.
Explore Chester
Take the time to explore our unique city centre, only a short ten-minute walk from Exton Park, using the Chester City Map (see City, Campus and Accommodation Maps handout).
Find Your Way Around
We know it can sometimes be a little disorientating trying to find your way around a new place, so please don’t hesitate to ask us if you need directions anywhere. Don’t forget to also use the City, Campus and Accommodation Maps handout provided to you at registration.

Food and Drink
Chester’s streets are lined with cuisines from around the globe, with a blend (or selection) of independent eateries and well-known favourites. There are hidden foodie gems down side streets and in the new Chester Market on Northgate Street (see City, Campus and Accommodation Maps handout) – a street food heaven not to be missed!
Storyhouse
Next to Chester Market and the Cathedral is Storyhouse – a cultural centre containing two state-of-the-art theatres, a cinema, library, restaurant and two bars. It’s a great place to stop for a coffee and see where you could be hanging out with friends in a year or two from now.

Shopping
High street favourites, designer boutiques, independent gems – Chester has everything you need when it comes to shopping. As well as the Grosvenor Shopping Centre, a stroll through some of Chester’s hidden streets uncovers a host of unexpected independent shops, music venues and galleries.
Historic Sights
Chester is steeped in history, and you’ll find historical treasures throughout the city – the impressive Cathedral, the iconic Eastgate Clock, the black and white Rows and the Roman Gardens. Walking the Roman walls is a great way to explore and get some incredible views over the city.
