If you have signed up to an online event or an interview that is taking place on MS Teams, you will be emailed a link in advance. This may be the morning of the event.

When you click the link you will be given the option to download the desktop app for free, continue using your browser or sign in using the Teams app (if you already have it).

Open your Teams app Already have it? Go right to your meeting.
We would recommend joining the event on the free Teams app on your desktop or laptop for the best experience. However, you can use the web browser if you wish. Google Chrome is the best browser to use in this situation.

You will be asked to provide your name and confirm if you want to turn your audio and video on. You may have to select audio and video first before adding your name if it is greyed out. Some events will ask that you keep your audio muted and you’re always welcome to keep your camera off.
For the Meet Your Department event, we would encourage you to use your first name and surname so that we can identify you.

Breakout Sessions Many of the Meet Your Department events are running breakout rooms for individual programmes. If the event you are attending is running a breakout room they will share the link to the room on their PowerPoint or in the text chat. Simply click on the link to be directed to the breakout room.
