How many cities have a Roman Amphitheatre next door to shops, bars, restaurants and a club? The 21st century Chester we see today has been built around history, literally. Ancient city walls, the iconic Eastgate Clock, Chester Cathedral, Roman Gardens, the historic Rows; the past is scattered throughout the city, and put to use every day by bustling commuters, busy students, families, shoppers and tourists. It’s what makes our city unique and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

And you’ll have the perfect view from Wheeler and Queen’s Park, which both overlook the river.
Must do: Go on – get yourself on a pedalo.

Must do: Visit the popular Chester Zoo Lanterns event in winter.
Combining a mix of high street favourites alongside designer boutiques and independent stores, Chester has everything you need for a great shopping experience. Or, head to the UK’s largest outlet shopping destination, Cheshire Oaks – it’s only a 15-minute drive from Chester.
Must do: The Rows – hidden above shop fronts, this 13th century second layer of shops, cafés, bars and restaurants is unique to Chester.
Chester’s cobbled streets are lined with restaurants from across the globe, and include popular restaurant chains, independent eateries, as well as awardwinning and Michelin-star restaurants. Should your application be successful, you’ll be issued with a conditional or unconditional offer letter. If conditional, you will need to satisfy all conditions stated on your offer letter before receiving your Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS).
As mentioned above, you may need to satisfy a number of conditions in order to receive your CAS. These can include paying a deposit, meeting English language requirements, providing academic references, and more.
For more information: www.chester. ac.uk/international/how-to-apply/whathappens-next/
Once you have met any outstanding conditions on your offer, you will then receive information via email on how to apply for university-owned or partnership accommodation.
Should you wish to live in private-sector accommodation, there are a range of resources available to help you find the perfect place to stay.
For more information: www.issuu. com/uochester/docs/international_ accommodation_guide_2024
To apply for this visa, you will require a Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS); this is a document issued by the University. To obtain a CAS you will need to complete a separate application process.
You will be sent further details on the University of Chester’s CAS (visa sponsorship) process once confirmation of your deposit payment has been received, and all outstanding conditions on your offer letter have been met.

For more information on scholarships: www.chester.ac.uk/international/feesscholarships-and-finance/scholarships/
Students will automatically be considered for our international scholarship upon submitting their application and any award given will be reflected in your offer letter.

Students have the option to pay their fees in full before the start date of their course. This ensures there are no complications upon their enrolment, and that their only financial consideration for the academic year is living costs.
Option 2 allows students to make a deposit payment to confirm their place (the required amount will be confirmed on the offer letter) and make an additional payment before the start date of their course. The remaining balance will be due within three months of the course start date.
Option 3 enables students to pay a smaller initial deposit amount (the required amount will be confirmed on the offer letter), allowing them to secure their place and start the CAS process. The remainder of the deposit amount will be due before the deposit deadline and the student is issued with their CAS. An additional payment will be required before the start of the course and the remaining balance will be due within three months of the course start date.
We encourage all students to make the deposit payment (see offer letter for details) at the earliest opportunity to avoid delays in CAS processing.
After the required deposit amount has been met, an additional enrolment payment will be due before the course start date, and the remaining balance will be due within three months of the course start date.
The undergraduate tuition fees are fixed at the entry amount, for the duration of your course.
