CLEANING – PLEASE DO YOUR BIT Our cleaning teams are providing additional cleaning in residences during this time but we need your help too. All residences on campus with self-catering kitchens, have been sent a cleaning pack which consists of antibacterial wipes, protect spray, blue roll and hand sanitiser. PLEASE DO ALL YOU CAN TO PROTECT OTHERS IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD: 3 Regularly clean frequently touched surfaces* 3 Regularly clean and disinfect communal spaces after each use including shared bathrooms, utility, kitchen and communal facilities 3 Do not use other people’s cutlery, crockery, glasses and cups 3 Use the cleaning products and antibacterial wipes to clean your room 3 Work together and agree how you will keep your shared spaces clean REMEMBER cleaning is a team effort! Create a cleaning rota to share your chores fairly. PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN YOUR HOUSEHOLD BY CLEANING AFTER USE: • Shower switches • Oven door handles, switches and buttons *

• Fridge doors and kettle handle

• Door handles

• Microwave doors, buttons and screens

• Kitchen work tops, sinks and taps

• Toilet door handles, flushes and seats

BINS AND WASTE MANAGEMENT Personal rubbish, such as used tissues and cleaning cloths should be stored securely within disposable rubbish bags. These bags should be placed into another bag, tied securely and kept separate from other rubbish. This should be put aside for at least 72 hours before being put in your usual external household waste bin. Other household waste can be disposed of as normal. If you are self-isolating in University accommodation, you will find dates and times to leave your rubbish outside your flat or room on our website - exeter.ac.uk/coronavirus/selfisolating/ If you are self-isolating in private accommodation and need advice on what to do with waste backlogs, our Student Community Wardens can pop round for a chat regarding options – email the team - communitywardens@ex.ac.uk

There is a wide range of wellbeing advice and support services available to you, including self-care and staying well, mental health tools and support for studies and exams. IF YOU ARE SELF-ISOLATING

You can also self-declare that you are self-isolating on ELE. This will let your academic department know that you are self-isolating and you won’t be coming onto campus, as well as helping the University ensure you have all the support you need to self-isolate. vle.exeter.ac.uk/
