We offer our gratitude to the lands on which the University of Guelph campuses are situated and the Indigenous ancestors who have inhabited these lands for centuries. We recognize that our campuses are located on the lands of the Dish with One Spoon Wampum and we offer our respect to the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Delaware Nation at Moraviantown, Six Nations of the Grand River and the diverse communities of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples who reside on these lands. We also recognize that our educational and research enterprises occur on Indigenous lands across Turtle Island and Mother Earth and we endeavour to ensure that our activities honour and respect Indigenous peoples and their lands.
Thank you for supporting Lang.
Dear Lang School community,
As Dean of the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics, I would like to welcome you to our inaugural Student Award Celebration. It is my privilege to have the opportunity to thank you, our generous donors, for supporting student learning and their professional development journey.
The strength of the Lang community continues to be one of our greatest assets, thanks in great part to each of you, our students, alumni, donors, and supporters. It is through your generosity and partnership that we have been able to further enhance the supports our students receive through scholarships, which allows them to focus on their academics and development.
It is heartwarming to hear stories of donors who have taken on a mentorship role with their student recipient and established a meaningful professional relationship beyond their financial gift. Our hope with this annual event is to foster and further these student and donor connections.
Finally, a congratulations to all student scholarship recipients. Your hard work and dedication to your studies and development is inspiring and it reminds us of the importance of scholarships and bursarys with helping you achieve your goals.
Thank you to each of you – our students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends - for your continued support.
