Welcome to our Careers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Fair
It is great to see you at this year’s Careers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Fair. Now is a good time to be an engineering student as the demand for engineers is likely to increase as the economy continues to grow and the demand for graduate engineers begins to exceed supply. As an engineering student from The University of Nottingham you are well-placed to meet this demand. You could have the opportunity to work in a vast range of engineering sectors, including aerospace, automotive, energy, information technology and telecommunications. In any of these sectors you could work for large multinationals, niche consultancies, high-growth technology firms and small to medium-sized enterprises. The Careers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Fair offers you the opportunity to meet some of the organisations contributing to this vibrant sector.
Even if you are unsure which sector is right for you, you can still learn a lot from the organisations about what they look for in students and graduates which will help you in any future applications. You may even find out about opportunities you never knew existed. Our team are here to help you understand and make the most of the graduate jobs market, not just today but throughout your time at University and once you graduate. Make sure you leave with a copy of our events guide so that you can see what’s happening this term. And finally, keep in touch. You can book an appointment to see us at www.nottingham.ac.uk/careers/ appointments You can also ask our experts a question on Facebook or Twitter. If you have a burning question, it’s a great way to get a quick answer. We hope you enjoy the day!
Employers attending the fair will have opportunities for final-year students interested in graduate positions as well as year-long and summer placements for first, second and penultimate year students, in a range of interesting roles across their businesses.
