What can I do with a mechanical, materials or manufacturing degree? Mechanical and manufacturing engineers can find roles within a wide variety of heavy industry sectors including aerospace, automotive, energy and rail, among others. There is also substantial interest in civil engineers from other sectors including, finance, management and IT. Typical roles include: mechanical engineer, manufacturing engineer, product design, packaging engineer, project engineer, amongst others. Biomedical materials science graduates are in demand from biomedical, medical device manufacture and pharmaceutical industries.
