Welcome to our Careers in Engineering Internships Fair Now is a good time to be an engineering student. The Engineering UK 2015 report forecasts that there will be 107,000 graduate level engineering vacancies per year until 2022. This, as well as an improving economy and continued investment and growth in key engineering sectors, means that there are a range of opportunities on the horizon that you, as an engineering student from The University of Nottingham, are well placed to take advantage of. Our second internships fair this year hosts a diverse range of employers, from large multinationals to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), with opportunities in a wide range of sectors including energy, construction, consultancy, automotive and manufacturing. Employers attending the fair may have opportunities for students interested in year-long and summer placements, in exciting roles across their businesses. Even if you are unsure what type of role or organisation is right for you, you can still learn a lot from the employers visiting the fair, such as what they look for in students and graduates, which will help you in future applications. You may even find out about opportunities you never knew existed.
