Hi, we’re Ikano... In the UK Ikano provides credit, customer insight and loyalty services to several household name retail companies like BHS, IKEA, Harveys, DFS, Tesco, Jaeger, and New Look. We also offer loans direct to UK customers under the Ikano brand. For example, we manage interest free credit and ‘buy now pay later’ loans on behalf of our partner companies, so that they can offer credit on their furniture and home improvement products. We also manage several high street fashion loyalty cards and help our retail partners to understand their customers. We manage several million customers, which makes us one of the UK’s leading store finance and loyalty companies. Ikano has had its headquarters in Nottingham since 1994 and employs 220 people across its banking and insight businesses. In Nottingham Ikano contributes to the community through our sponsorship of the Ikano Robin Hood Marathon, our partnership with Nottingham Academy schools and the Nottingham Playhouse, and the active charity work we undertake with our company charity Rainbows Children’s hospice.

Welcome to the Graduate Jobs Fair We’re really pleased that you’ve decided to come to this year’s Graduate Jobs Fair. There are no two ways about it, finding your way through the graduate jobs market to the perfect career for you is no walk in the park. There’ll be challenges and choices along the way, but our team are here to help you through it all.
If you’d like to talk about your options with a careers adviser, or have one of our team look through your CV, head over to the atrium near the entrance to the Conference Centre, where we’ll be happy to see you. Top tip: Book an appointment when you arrive for later in the day to give you a chance to visit the employer stands first. To find out about opportunities to work across the global, visit our international stand in the main concourse. If you’re an international student planning to return to your home country to work or a UK student looking to work overseas then this stand is definitely worth a visit.
Rest assured, there’s more choice than meets the eye when it comes to future options and the range of opportunities we have at the fair today is a great example of that. As well as graduate schemes with well-known companies, there are roles in the public and charity sectors, and you can explore exciting opportunities for further study.
Another part of the fair we don’t think you should miss is our job-hunting workshops (see page 5 for more details). These will set you up for finding a graduate job and, most importantly, help you in making a great application when you find a role that interests you.
We’d also encourage you to look beyond the brands you know when it comes to looking for your future employer. Check out the companies with pink dots [ ] next to them in this guide. While less well-known than the big brands, these are all successful companies, many of which are local to Nottingham. With big opportunities for talented graduates, they could have the perfect job for you.
And don’t forget, we’d love to know what you think of the fair. If you get a chance, please speak to a member of our evaluation team – there are great prizes to be won from giving us just a couple of minutes of your time. You can also tweet your feedback to @UoNCareers and if you’ve got a burning question for one of our experts our Twitter account is a great way to get the answer. We hope you enjoy the day!
