Liaison Psychiatry: Mental Healthcare in a Physical Healthcare Setting

Patients with psychological healthcare needs in addition to physical ones often experience slower diagnosis, longer hospital stays and poorer outcomes. With growing recognition that mental health difficulties should be treated with the same urgency as physical ones, there is a greater need for people who are trained and confident in identifying and dealing with these issues across all practice areas. This session will help you understand career opportunities in this area.
