University of Oregon Orientation

Student Orientation Programs introduces new Ducks and their families to life at the University of Oregon, demonstrating the UO’s commitment to teaching, learning, and scholarship. Our mission is to enhance the new student experience by providing guidance and assistance to students making academic, personal, and social adjustments to college life. Two events play a key role in the transition to life at the UO: IntroDUCKtion, our summer orientation, advising, and registration program, takes place in sessions throughout the summer. Week of Welcome, a series of activities and programs that familiarize students with the UO’s resources, takes place the week before fall term begins. In addition, we provide guided campus tours year round to a wide range of visitors, and we host several campus open house events, including Duck Preview and Duck Days.
