Overview o During the first half of 2016 (between 1st January 2016 and 30st June 2016) Qualification and Training Department reported 124 different activities in Whole of Syria, with maximum use of human and technical resources in both Bab Alhawa Training Center (Syria), Reyanli and Gaziantep Training Center (Turkey). Figures (1 A,B) show timeframe of all activities during the first half of 2016. o Activities were categorized into the following groups:
Meetings (M): For coordination, follow-up purposes, whether within or outside the organizational framework of UOSSM
Internal Hosting (IH): Providing available resources within training centers (staff, equipment, and/or services) to other partner, to conduct an activity within one of the training centers
External Support (ES): Providing available resources within training centers (equipment and/or staff) to other partner, to conduct an activity outside the training centers.
UOSSM Medical Training (IMT): Including Special medical training courses done locally by department’s staff.
UOSSM Administrative Training (IAT): IIncluding non-medical training courses that UOSSM conduct to build its own staff and/or local community capacity, with in the training centers and done locally by department’s staff
UOSSM MHPSS Training (IPT): Including Special Psychosocial support training courses done locally by department’s staff.
On-Field Training (OFT):Including training courses that are conducted by Qualification And Training Department’s staff but outside its centers targeting the trainees in their working locations.

Union of Medical Care and Relief Organizations Qualification and Training Department o The total number of activities’ days in which Qualification And Training Department contributed to whole of Syria is 410 days (229% of actual period “179 Days”). Figure (2) show the distribution of days on all types of activities. While the total number of activities’ hours is 2948 Hours. o The total number of beneficiaries is 2902 (100%), 670 (23.1%) are female. Figure (3) show the distribution of beneficiaries by gender in all types of activities. The total number of partners who were supported or hosted is 24 organizations: Cosv

o Logistically, Qualification And Training Department was able to provide its services to activities took place in Gaziantep and Reyhanlı (Turkey), in addition to activities in Bab Al-Hawa and Reyhanlı training centers, and on-field activities inside Syria. Meetings o During the first half of 2016, 7 meetings held in Bab Al-Hawa Training Center, at the level of departments and cadres of UOSSM, as well as at the level of hospital managers.
Internal Hosting o During the first half of 2016, Bab Al-Hawa Training Center hosted 42 activities that was conducted by 13 NGOs: o Bab Al-Hawa Training Center provides training rooms, hosting rooms, admin. equipment, and educational tools, in addition to logistical and training staff (as needed). o A comprehensive evaluation questionnaire is filled after each activity by the activity’s director. o Each item is given a grade between (1 Very bad and 5 Excellent). Figure (IH1) shows the overall evaluation of services.

Union of Medical Care and Relief Organizations Qualification and Training Department o Training and Qualification Centers provide their services through a well-equipped training rooms, hosting rooms, educational equipment, and admin. equipment, in addition to logistical staff, and admin. staff which is consists of 10 perople in Bab Alhawa Training Center. o During the courses, trainees are evaluated regarding their performance in practical sessions in addition to pre- and post-tests which are statistically analyzed to define the gaps in trainers performance or quality of equipment. o Comprehensive evaluation questionnaire is filled by trainees, each item is given a grade between (1 Very bad and 5 Excellent). Figure (IT 1) show the overall evaluation of practical sessions.

On-Field Training o During the first half of 2016, the training team in Qualification And Training Department conducted 21 on-field training activities targeted 652 health workers to improve response to war-related traumatic injuries and chemical attacks. o On-field trainings are done after coordinating with health facilities and local authorities in northern sector’s provinces (Idleb, Hama, Latakia), then the trainer brings equipment and needed materials to conduct the training. The training is a one-day public education or awareness activity.
External Support o Qualification And Training Department has Integrated training and educational materials in addition to a qualified training and administrative team. o During the first half of 2016, Bab Al-Hawa Training Center supported 1 external training activities through providing training equipment and training staff as needed.
