UNIVERSITY OF PÉCS Step by step guide of online application for Advisors
When you arrive to https://apply.pte.hu/ click on “Become an applicant� in the top right corner:
First, you need to add some data of the applicant. If you add your e-mail address here, you will receive all the messages that we send out to the applicant. Please make sure that you add your reference code to the „I have a reference code� field. This will allow us to identify your applicants.
After the successful registration, you receive the applicant’s access code. You and the applicant will be able to log in and edit the application with this code. We send out this code with a welcome e-mail to the e-mail address you gave at the registration automatically. If you wrote down the password, you can click on „I wrote it down, continue”.
On the next page, please click on „Continue by selecting a study program� to choose the right program.
You can use the search tool by typing in the name of the program, and/or you can choose between study levels and languages. Make sure that you click on „Find programmes� to run the search.
After the search the system will list all the related programs. You can click on „More information” to pursue further insight, or click on „Apply now!” right away.
Once you clicked on the „Apply now!”, you get to the application form part. In the left green column you can see „Tasks” which works as a to-do list for the applicant. In the middle, you can see the selected study program, and below that, you can find „+Add more choices”. If you click on that, you get back to the program search page. You can also find the different chapters of the application form here (Profile, contacts, etc.) which you shall all fill out in order to submit the application.
In the „Education” chapter, there might be several questions, that are not relevant to your applicant, or you cannot answer them now (e.g.. The applicants haven’t finish high school yet). If any of these happens, you shall write „Non-applicable” or „N/A” to every field you cannot fill. And if your applicant receives the needed document (e.g.. High School diploma) later, you can reopen the application and add the new information. If you would like to add more diplomas, you can click on „Insert new block here” at the bottom of the page, for different certificates (e.g.. Second bachelor diploma).
In the „Documents” section, you can upload the documents that are required for application. These documents are listed in the „Checklist” chapter.
If you get to the „Checklist” chapter, you can see all the to-do’s of the applicants. Most of them are related to uploading documents. If you click on a checklist, you can read a short description of the task in the left column, and you shall choose the right option from the right column. Please note that if you don’t mark every task as done, you won’t be able to submit the application. After you chose the right answer from the right side column, click anywhere in the dark area around this pop-up window, to get back to the checklists. Please note that not every document shall be uploaded, as the „motivational letter” shall be typed in, and the portfolios (if needed) shall be linked via google drive, dropbox, or any other file sharing service).
If you filled every chapter, uploaded all the necessary documents, and marked all the tasks done in the checklist part, you can click on „Submit� in the bottom right corner.
Once you submitted the application, the system automatically generates a message appearing in the „Inbox� menu of the system, and sent to the email address as well. If you open the inbox, you can see every message ever sent to the applicant.
Once you submitted the application, the notification for payment of application fee is generated (if the given program has application fee). The applicant receives an e-mail and a system message about it as well, plus it is also appears in the „Finance� menu at left green column.
In the „Finance� menu, you can see every generated notification for payment. If you click on the notification, a pop-up window opens up.
In the pop-up window, you’ll find the notification for payment with the payment details. In the top right corner, you can print, or save the notification. In the right side column you find the payment details, and in the top left corner, you can see the ID number of the payment, in the format of #AF-238290318. Please make sure that you put this ID number of payment in the comment section of the bank transfer to make the transfer as smooth as possible.
After we received the application fee payment, the applicant receives two messages about it. Please note again, that every message we send about the application will be sent to the e-mail address given at the registration, and inside the system.
If you would like to edit the application after the submission, you shall click on „My applications” in the left side column, and „Edit application” at the given program.
If you forgot to add your reference code to the applicant, you shall login with the applicant, click on the name of the applicant in the top right corner, and click on „Have a reference code?�
On the next page you can simply type in your reference code.
If you wish to sign in as an Advisor to monitor the application process of all of your applicants, please click on „Advisor login� in the bottom left corner.
To see all of your applicant, make sure that you choose the right intake period and click on „Reload�
If you have set the right intake period, you will see all of your applicants. You can see the details of the application by clicking on „View”, and you can see the current status of the applicant below that (in this case: „Application fee collected”). Please note, that if you logged in as an Advisor, you won’t be able to edit the applications.
